I am so grateful that my daughter has the opportunity to train at Tantō Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The place is truly exceptional. Professor Alfred and Coach Sasha are excellent instructors. Their love and knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu shines through in every class. Professor Alfred, as a black belt, brings years of expertise to the mat. His teaching style is patient, encouraging, and down-to-earth. He is a true master of BJJ. My kids started jiu jitsu at Tanto and have been training for over a year now. Prof Alfred and Coach Sasha are amazing, my kids love them! They are always so positive, very welcoming and patient. They are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! Alfred knows how to balance the seriousness in training while maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains things thoroughly. We are so happy we found Tanto. BJJ has been great for my kids. My son’s confidence level has increased compared from when he just started. My daughter who is turning 15 soon is transitioning to the adult class. She loves it as much as she loves the kids class. [Kids Class Review] My kids have been training at Tanto Jiujitsu for 2 years. Professor and Coach are not only gentle with kids, but teach them discipline. They teach respect and safety to the younger trainees. I wouldn't go any other place for my kids to train jiujitsu other than Tanto Jiujitsu.
Look, if someone decides to write a review of a martial arts academy, it's going to be positive. That's a given. So I'm just going to tell you what I've seen at Tantō over the past year (both my son (6) and I (40/m) train) and you can decide if it's really worth 5-stars or if I'm cappin: - New students get greeted by nearly everyone before class. You show up, you're a welcome part of the group. - My 6-year-old's wild focus has improved little by little. - It's like the village people there, you roll with police officers, firefighters, librarians, nurses, lawyers, engineers, etc. Various ages, body types, gender, whatever. - Adults regularly stay after the evening class officially ends to work on techniques, get some extra rolls in, or just chop it up. - Class is full of heavy breathing and laughter. I said what I said! - Professor Alfred says I'm improving...maybe 🤷♂️. I do know that after rolling with higher belts I always feel comfor
One great academy to learn jiujitsu for kids and adults! Professor Alfred and Coach Sasha are very good with the kids. They are kind, helpful, and also very encouraging. Always making sure we get the technique right and always open to answering any of our questions during the adult classes. This is a great academy for you and your family!
I recommend Tanto Jiu Jitsu. I've been at the gym for 3 months and I feel healthier and more athletic. Professor Alfred is extremely knowledgeable, a natural teacher, and approachable. The adult community at the gym is diverse and friendly. The people make training fun and safe. Additionally, the gym is clean and there are plenty of free and convenient parking spots nearby.
