I started training with Professor Kahlil in 2016 as a white belt at the recommendation of my Rugby team (in my Captain's words: "body control is body control"). Since starting training with him I have branched off to other forms of combat sports in addition to playing Rugby another three years. Out of all the gyms and instructors I have worked with, I have had the best BJJ progress and most applicable results with Professor Kahlil. He answered some very non BJJ questions I had, helped me drill, get comfortable mentally and physically, and helped my MMA fight IQ significantly. When I had a very difficult schedule to work with for two years, I toured the area attending any BJJ open mats and taking free sessions to keep my training up. While there were a lot of places that had built a solid training regiment for its students, it was uncomfortable being the occasional outsider and I found I was much less able to ask questions and get the ki
I’ve trained with Professor Kahlil for over 12 years. He’s a world champion, extremely skilled, and one of the best people you’ll ever train with—on and off the mat. He genuinely cares about his students, and the dojo is an amazing place to learn and grow. I highly recommend training here if you want to take your Jiu-Jitsu to the next level.
I've trained at 3 different schools and have found a home at JJAC. Professor Kahlil is a 4th degree black belt and 7-time world champion. Under his instruction I have won 2 tournaments, one as a white belt, and a second as a blue belt. That said, it's a chill vibe and is great for anybody just looking to get their feet wet. This gym has transformed my life and I would highly recommend joining.
Kahlil is one of the most knowledgeable and patient instructors I have trained with over my last 15 years in jujitsu. Everyone, at every skill level, are equally welcomed and respected here. Can’t recommend this place any higher!
Love training here. Professor Kahlil, is very knowledgeable, experienced and kind. He's been actively competing for years and has earned 7 world titles. He breaks down complex techniques and makes sure everyone understands. There's always good vibes at this place.
Very clean location, friendly instructor and students. As technical or recreational as you'd like!
