I recently joined Gracie Barra Murrieta and it has been an incredible experience from day one. Professor Mike, coach Ryna, and all the other coaches are not only highly skilled but also extremely patient, welcoming, and treat you like family, making it an ideal place for both beginners and advanced students. The gym itself is spotless, well-equipped, and has a welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The class schedules are flexible and there’s a great variety of sessions that can work with anyone’s schedule. What truly sets this gym apart is the sense of community. The other members and staff are supportive and friendly, and create an environment where you can push yourself and grow without feeling intimidated. The instructors take the time to get to know each student, offering personalized guidance and encouragement. Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness, learn self-defense, or compete at a high level Gra
Gracie Barra Murrieta is an outstanding example of what a welcoming, challenging, and friendly martial arts school should be. The facility is spotless, very spacious, and has great amenities. The changing rooms are large and there are plenty of cubbies to store your things. The bathroom facility is always clean and easily accessible. My grandson takes lessons here and since I have extensive experience in eastern and western martial arts, I was interested in giving it a try. They offer a trial lesson and supply you with all the gear you will need to attend class that day. From the first moment through the door, I was greeted with open arms, encouragement and friendly smiles. Professor Mike took the time to find out what my personal goals were, because at age 63, jujutsu is not exactly what most people would turn to for exercise and fitness. I have been attending class for the past couple of months and all along the way the Professor has
The professors at GB Murrieta are incredible. They truly are a gifted group and their passion is contagious. I’ve been a student of Professor Mike for years and he makes training fun and challenging. He teaches in a way that makes the techniques easy to follow, no matter how advanced they might be. Professor Mike & Coach Ryna are great with kids as well. They’ve taught mine for years & helped them train for competitions. They will make learning jiu jitsu something your kids will actually look forward to. The new GB Murrieta facilitates are immaculate, and the mat space is huge. The school is definitely top notch. If you live in the vicinity of this school you owe it to yourself to check it out!
Seriously one of the best gyms I've ever been to. Pros: 1. Great vibe. This should be your number one focus in choosing a jiu-jitsu gym. I have been to too many gyms that are ego driven, and the instructor and students create an environment that is not welcoming. GB Murrieta has one of the chillest environments I've been in, but there are also killers in the room. People here want to get better, but aren't looking to hurt you or knee-on-neck pass you lol. 2. Reasonable cost. Yes it's Gracie, so you are going to pay a premium, but you are getting tired and true instruction from a guy that trained under the master himself. Totally worth it. 3. Great facilities. Very clean environment. Everything from the mats to the bathroom was very clean. I hate training and gyms where I feel claustrophobic. Here there is an open atmosphere with no funky smells! If you are on the fence, give it a try! Professor Mike is one of the friendliest guys I've m
Joining Gracie Barra Murrieta has been one of the best decisions for our family. Our son is enrolled in the kids class and his experience at this school has been nothing short of exceptional. The increase in control, concentration and confidence our son has gained in just a few short months has been truly sensational. The school is clean and well maintained. The instructors are hands on and exhibit the utmost professionalism. They strike a perfect balance between teaching discipline and having fun. Each class focuses on promoting fitness, technique and self-defense. Depending on the day, class sizes can average 15 to 25 students. Our son loves this program and asks everyday to go to class. He has even given up another sport to frequent class more often. Thank you Professor Mike and Coach Ryna. Your school has changed our lives. Self Control and Focus!
I had the pleasure of participating in a BJJ class at Gracie Barra Murrietta, yesterday morning. I've trained in many Jiu Jitsu schools and was highly impressed. There's no need to be concerned about your skill level or endurance. It's a safe environment, both physically and emotionally, which means you can make mistakes without the fear of judgement or criticism Professor Mike is the real deal. He's not only a highly skilled black belt but also an excellent teacher and strong leader. Coach Josh and Coach Leyna round out the leadership team with a high degree of passion, competence and positivity. Needless to say I'm definitely enrolling with Gracie Barra Murrietta and excited about continuing to improve my Jiu jitsu skills and building new relationships with quality folk.
