My 11-year-old son started training at 10TH Planet Murrieta about year and a half ago. Coach Andrew Murillo, is systematic in his teaching of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the coaches are intelligent, methodical, and have a safety-first approach. I have to commend coach Andrew and all the coaches at 10th Planet Murrieta on the attention and focus given to the kids. The environment is warm, positive, and nurturing. My son, in particular, leaves every class with an endorphin high and a smile on his face. The training and positive reinforcement has given him a huge boost in confidence and self-esteem. The 10th Planet Murrieta facility is clean and spacious, and the environment couldn’t be any more positive. Look no Further******************** We tried 4 other gyms after our trial class at 10th planet and immediately came back to sign up. This gym is the only location where my kids felt more of a family/community then just a number or their monthly income. The coaches are fully invested in your children and their success. Since joining we have seen tremendous growth in both of our daughters Jiu Jitsu, confidence and social life. Coach Drew, Jeff and Johnny are very supportive towards both kids and adults. My daughter has formed a friendship with some of the female adults and I must say Monica in the office is amazing with my daughter, always encouraging her, giving her tips, offering her support and inviting her to their women's only class on Saturday at 2 pm. When competing, the kids have no shortage of support, from the parents, their team and specially their coaches. We are very happy with our decision and will forever be part of the 10t
i started my jiu jitsu journey, thanks to We Defy Foundation, very much appreciate it, thank you. we defy gave me the opportunity to choose where I should go to begin my jiu jitsu journey and without no hesitation I chose 10th planet!!! no regrets!!! thank you to professor Andrew and coach Jeff, my journey has been great. although there are times my body, 56 y/o is saying no, I continue to push, cause I know it's going to be aight! their classes makes sure that all students learn appropriately and they're are no students left behind. no doubt it's not easy, but with their positive encouragement, they make sure you finish the class with positive vibes!!! thank you 10th planet, I will continue to push and train to the best of my ability. stay blessed!!! \m/
My son has been at 10th Planet Murrieta for about a year and a half. He loves it. He is always excited to go, and always leaves there happy. I have seen his strength build, his confidence build, and his focus improve. My wife and I are both very happy with Coach Drew and the other instructors. They are professional, skilled, and also very nice. There is always great energy during the lessons. The instructors are big on keeping order in the class during lessons, and are not afraid to issue out burpies to those who are out of line. They expect discipline and focus, as they should. And this helps keep the class running smoothly so that time is not wasted. Overall, we are very happy we found 10th Planet and Coach Drew, and will be here for many years to come.
For a small amount of time I spent training at this academy (few months), 10 planet murrieta is the place to be at. Highly recommend taking their fundamental classes (morning or afternoon) and wrestling classes as both have improved my grappling game tremendously and have gotten me out of a plateau. Even if you’re an intermediate-high level grappler, you’ll definitely learn some new techniques or refine on some old ones. The coaches are amazing too. They take the time to check the techniques of every student and even offer some type of “roadmap” for the student’s own personal game/curiosity. If you’re a service member, veteran, or local law enforcement you’ll be right at home as there are plenty of people who are currently in (or retired) in the respective service. If you also want to work on your striking game, definitely check out the Muay Thai class on Saturday’s. Above all check them out!
I’ve been training my Jiujitsu Under Coach Drew Murillo for the passes two year. He’s an amazing coach and mentor. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here at 10th planet Murrieta. He’s creating champions on and off the mats. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to start training or looking for a new school. Not to mention! He’s got an amazing striking program who’s taught by Coach Jeff. Go Check it out. 10/10
