Cleber Jiu-Jitsu Newport Beach is amazing! The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and make every class both fun and challenging. The gym is super clean, organized, and has a really positive vibe. Parking is easy. Everyone—from beginners to advanced students—is welcoming and supportive. I’ve already learned so much and look forward to every session. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to train jiu-jitsu in Newport!
Coach Carlos is truly exceptional. My daughters are 4, 7, and 9, and each of them has a completely different personality and learning style—but he meets each of them exactly where they are. What stands out most is how intentional and compassionate he is. He doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. He understands that a 4-year-old needs something very different than a 9-year-old, and he navigates those differences so naturally. My youngest feels safe and encouraged, while my oldest feels challenged, respected, and motivated. And something I don’t think gets talked about enough—he really sees my middle child. So often middle kids can get lost in the in-between, but not with him. He meets her with the same level of respect, attention, and care, and it shows in her confidence and growth.
