Power of Leverage is a top notch gym to learn Jiu-Jitsu. I have quite a few friends in Jiu-Jitsu since 2011 and have watched them teach and have visited other schools and have even shopped around different Jiu-Jitsu schools. I have friends that are black belts that have their own schools. When we came to Power of Leverage to visit however, it just felt like the right new home for our family. My husband, myself, and my 2 older girls train in Jiu-Jitsu. We had been at a previous school for 4 years and then felt our family needed a change. I had met Professor Kelly at a competition a couple years ago and he opened his doors for us to visit. What I loved is hearing my 2nd daughter (who was struggling with Jiu-Jitsu overall) say that she likes it here because "Professor Kelly is nice to little kids and helps me out a lot." Truly THE BEST Jiu Jitsu school around! My two kids have been coming here for over 3 years now and still going strong! It has been such an incredible journey to witness the growth, discipline, friendships, joy, love, unity, and strength my kids have gained here at Power Of Leverage. Their flexible class schedule, and strategic but fun and effective approach to coaching sets them apart as being a top notch Jiu Jitsu school. We've been looking for a Jiu Jitsu School for our oldest son, 9 . He had been to a few others before going to POL and this time we were looking to sign up our daughter, 7 and youngest son, 5 as well. It was hard to find a good school that was affordable with three kids. But with POL they're very reasonable and we were able to get the whole family in, my husband and I included. We feel super blessed to find a place the whole family can attend. We all look forward to going to our Jiu Jitsu and boxing classes weekly . Everyone at POL treats you like family. Professor Kelly, Coach Remi, Mrs. Maya and Professor Todd, are all friendly, helpful and nice. They all keep you motivated and make it fun. We were recommended and definitely highly recommend checking them out.
We love The Power of Leverage Jiu Jitsu! Both of my kids (ages 4 and 7) have been attending for the past 3 months, and it truly feels like family here. The coaches are kind, patient, and super attentive—especially with the younger group (4–6 years old), where they focus on building confidence and coordination in a fun, encouraging way. They give the kids time to steam off in a fun and playful way. For the older group (7–9 years old), the classes are offered five times a week, and having extra coaches on the mat every session means each child gets plenty of personal attention and support. My kids look forward to every class and have grown so much—physically and emotionally. Highly recommend!
We are so happy to be part of the Power of Leverage BJJ Family! We started our little at 4 years old and he has been nothing but smiles since the first training session. He wakes up asking if it’s “a Jiu Jitsu day” and there’s no convincing him to go bc he enjoys going! With each passing week, we can see our son growing more confident in himself & becoming more focused in all aspects of life. We can’t wait for our other kids to join the fun. Professor Kelly & Maya are amazing and have built an incredible supportive community!! Receiving a pink Power of Leverage BJJ sticker many Halloween trick-or-treats ago & meeting Professor Kelly and his students many years later at my local gym was a total game-changer! The class caters to all levels of students from beginner to advanced upper belt ranks with dynamic and interactive warm ups, practice drills and rolling sessions. I admire the welcoming & inclusive environment and sense of community as my professors and teammates root for one another and help each other grow throughout the journey. Iron sharpens iron.
