Highly recommend the Monday & Thursday evening boxing classes. Non intimidating boxing training that will get you in shape fast. You will develop basic offensive and defensive self defense skills and confidence. The owner of the gym is really friendly and the boxing instructor provides a well structured class that makes working out fun and addicting. After pushing past the first 4 or 5 classes you will be hooked! They offer a free trial class, highly recommend giving it a try. Age of students range from 12 to 62, so all are welcome!
This is the place for Kung Fu if you want to learn. Losing weight is a breeze; almost too easy! I personally need to eat more so I keep my body weight. But other than that, the SiFu are strict, but are very nice and are skilled beyond belief. The founder was taught at the bottom of the Shaolin temple, and was taught by masters of it. This is nearing my 2nd full year in Kung fu, but Kung fu isn't all. They also teach tai chi, lion dance, kick boxing, and Qi Gong. They compete in competitions, train, and teach forms. There is a location in Dublin is also great. The SiFu are bilingual and speak mandarin as their first language. All of them are very highly qualified to teach such masterful arts, and here is probably the most qualified place to do so.
I went to this Kung Fu Studio for a few years, joining very soon after it was founded, as we knew the founder from his previous job. This academy is a very special place, that encourages students to learn not only Kung Fu but retain wisdom and life knowledge from their experiences. The masters here are kind to kids and love working with them. They care about us and our lives outside of Kung Fu. They give us good feedback when we practice, and are as excited as we are for competitions. They are teachers, but also wise friends. I have reached my black belt here, and can confidently say I have learned much throughout my journey. I don't think there is a better Kung Fu academy in the Bay Area.
Highly recommended! They are very organized and never waste any time during class. Every second is used effectively. No matter how many students are in the class, they still give attention to each individual. All the staff are kind, professional, and supportive.
Best academy to start with, teachers are super friendly and at the same time they are strict while teaching. The instructors disciplined, punctual and skilled. The best part of the institution is flexible class hours. I highly recommend this institution.
The coaches are helpful and friendly. They have good teaching and communication skills. My 14 and 11years daughters had a great time here with their friends. Great place to learn kung-fu. Highly recommend!
