I don't have enough good things to say about this gym. Extremely beginner friendly and they will take a personal approach with you from the start. Andy is world class and has the skills and accolades to back it up. They employ great teachers and structure their workouts in a way that makes sense. The price is extremely fair for the value you'll get here and unlike other gyms they charge a flat rate for ALL CLASSES. One monthly payment, go as much as your body can handle. Muay thai, boxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, you can train all the best fundamentals here. Very Veteran friendly and they even host classes from professionals in the undustry like the Mitt Queen herself Tina Cervasio! I cannot recommend this place enough.
Great gym, and I don’t say that lightly, very friendly crowd and a coach who really cares. I only go to the boxing classes in the morning due to kids school challenges these days. But every coach there is super friendly and is Very attentive to their students. The boxing class is cardio heavy and is broken up with calisthenics. It’s like combining body weight exercises with boxing class, it really is a great workout and a great value for your time, you get a lot of the 1 hour class. Andy is wonderful coach who will help you out with whatever goals you have, just drop by and do a trial
I've been training at switch for a year now and absolutely love it. The coaches are knowledgeable and experienced, the members are friendly and welcoming, and it’s a great environment for both beginners and more advanced fighters. With many classes available like boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, and strength and conditioning at multiple times during the day the membership is a steal. Highly recommend this gym!
Whipping me into shape one class at a time! Andy and team got me hooked with their strength & conditioning classes followed up with boxing classes. I started three days a week but now I can’t imagine missing a class. It’s not easy getting back into the gym after being out for so long but the training and support provided has made it easy to stick to it! New workouts every class, one on one focus and determination from the Switch team to drive me to be my best every second, why wouldn’t I love them?!
Wow, you have to check out this amazing place! It's absolutely perfect in every way! The members are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they even offer a two-day free trial so you can get a taste of the classes and make some new friends! I'm so glad I decided to try boxing - it's been such an exhilarating experience! And Robert, the instructor, is simply fantastic - he was so friendly and welcoming when I first started. You won't regret giving this place a try!
I usually try to find a drop in Muay Thai class when I travel. I had plenty of options in the area but decided on Switch in El Cajon. I’m glad I did. Robert welcomed me over the phone earlier in the week and then led the 7:00 A.M Saturday class. Good technique, good combos that were obviously thought thru and a good crew of people training- all in a clean gym with plenty of heavy bags and and gear. Pretty much all I want in a gym. Everyone was welcoming and I’ll definitely be back if ever in the area.
