Rated 4.9/5 across 34 Google reviews.

My son began his journey with Aspire Martial Arts in 2015. He was only 4.5 and had a typical 4.5 year old attention span. Mr. Morris has a natural gift when it comes to these youngsters. I've personally witnessed not only my own sons growth but countless others as well. We are more like a family at Aspire and all these kids share a very special bond. Developmentally, you can watch the kids progress as they transform within only a matter of weeks. Whether your goal is just an activity for your child during these troubling times or all out martial arts competition you WILL NOT find a better school than Aspire. As a behavior health professional, it blows my mind how great Mr. Morris is with all personality types to include kids with developmental issues. In fact, they thrive in this environment. Mr. Morris just has a natural gift and it is very impressive. My son loves Mr. Morris like he is family and thinks the world of him. It is so refr
Aspire Martial Arts have been the talk of our family for the past couple years. We enrolled our children with Mr. Morris and wow what a difference we have seen in our kids. We enrolled our kids into this program to see their physical abilities grow and learn self defense. They definitely have. Aspire doesn't only teach martial arts. They also teach kids respect and leadership skills. Our kids have grown so much with their program and we are very happy with Mr. Morris and his team. Update 2/4/2026 I coach teenage girls in soccer here in La Mesa and for the past three years we have been working with Mr. Morris in teaching self defense and leadership through seminars. He has always been professional and the girls always enjoys them. It is vital for our kids to learn self defense and Mr. Morris is a great example for them as an instructor and leader!
How do I describe Aspire Martial Arts? It makes me think of walking into a friends, or family members house. You are always greeted with a smile, and often a hand shake. Followed with hello, and smiles from all of the other students and parents. As for instruction Mr. Morris is amazing and is always pushing both himself and the students to setting and accomplishing goals. In the past year multiple students have earned their black belt. What is unique about this, those same students are still in class helping fellow students, being an example for younger students. All of the students have all seen the progress made, tournaments, classes, and belting cycles it has taken to reach that goal. The Aspire Martial Arts Family has had a great influence on my children has been very positive. This adventure started 3 years ago for my family, and has been very rewarding.
I enrolled my granddaughter in Mr. Morris' class because of low self- esteem and shyness. She has blossomed into a self confident, happy 8 year old in just a matter of weeks. Mr. Morris is absolutely incredible in his teachings and compassion for these children. I am a huge advocate for these classes and Mr. Morris' discipline techniques. He strides in helping the children believe in themselves. A BIG 5 stars for this class!
We have been apart of Aspire Martial Arts for almost a decade. My son first started off in the Tigers program when he was 6 years old and is now a black belt! The journey has been incredible from fun hours on the mat to competitions outside the studio. Mr. Morris is very invested in his students growth not only in Martial Arts but also in life skills like disciple, confidence, respect, and perseverance. As a parent watching my kids set goals and achieve them has been a rewarding experience.
I am fortunate to have taken a special self-defense course from Mr. Morris. It taught me how to evaluate situations and to put myself in the best position to defend myself if necessary. Mr. Morris has a unique ability to teach to the group before him, meaning whether adults or kids, he is able to connect and make the experience perfect for their needs. I have no reservation recommending Aspire Martials Arts to anyone seeking just the right class for themselves, family, or friends.
