My family has been on a journey with Crosley Gracie jiu-Jitsu Academy for about 7 years. My oldest son Noah was the first on the mat. He came struggling with self confidence and without understanding of how, or when to protect himself. I watched him grow exponentially under Professor Ryan’s quiet steady leadership. He gained confidence and appropriate assertiveness. My you younger son Zach had been a wrestler for years until Covid hit. He’s one of those kids with an endless motor in his butt. He has unending energy, exuberance & enthusiasm, but has lacked self control. With no way to expend his energy Zach became self destructive. Crosley Gracie opened his doors in September when no one else had the courage to do so. Zach joined. I truly believe jiu-Jitsu & Jesus saved my son. Zach went on to expand his training in the Muay Thai program. He practically lives at the gym to the tune of 20-30 hours a week, & now hopes to become an MMA figh
This business has had a profound positive impact on my life and my two sons. I’ve been training here for 4 years and the culture is exceptional and every student shares mutual respect for each other. We typically don’t tell life stories while we drill and roll in the classes. We don’t see what stokes their fire, we just feel the results of it. After our matches, we shake hands, talk about the match then go separate ways. Then, twice a year at the belt ceremony, I get to hear from the people I train with tell great stories of the struggles they found strength and persevered through as they get promoted. Every belt ceremony I attend reveals how much passion gets inspired when someone works hard to create the discipline necessary to train Jiu-Jitsu. I hear stories of people that I go to battle with that doesn’t come out when I drill with them. This is one of the motivating factors that keeps me training. Crosley and Ryan created an environ
I signed up for their free Self Defense Seminar on a whim. My husband and two boys train in jiujitsu, and although martial arts is not my preferred method of exercise, I figured it couldn’t hurt to learn some techniques to protect myself. I’m so thankful I did! I already knew through my experiences with my family attending Crosley Gracie that the class would be warm, fun, welcoming and inclusive, so despite it being my first time on the mat, I felt comfortable right away. In just 2 hours I learned several techniques that could help me in the event of an attack, and had fun while doing it. Thank you to Crosley, Ryan and the other instructors for offering this opportunity to educate our community on how to stay safe.
Been attending Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for over a year now. It's a lifestyle for me and a journey that I intend to continue for years to come. The instructors are top notch and have provided me with a safe and friendly atmosphere. That alone allows me to stay confident and learn quickly. The drills alone will make you sweat but you will feel rejuvenated. The self defense taught are effective and easy to understand. The theory behind all techniques are explained so that we understand how effective the system is. I appreciate this schools drive and commitment to my development. I encourage if you are seeking a martial arts or Jiu-Jitsu in particular, to check out Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Take a trial class, embed your mind to the art, be open, and ask questions. Everyone here will be happy to explain and answer any questions you may have.
Crosley Gracie Jiu-Jistu academy is a place of discipline and commitment. If you’re looking for in depth self-defense classes that can train you for the real world, this is it. I am a former Jiu-Jitsu student and participating in these classes for more than a decade has helped me become a stronger, more hardworking individual. You learn about growth and the dedication it takes to become who you want to be. I had so many fun, and impactful memories from this place since I was 4 years old and I will never forget them. I want to give a HUGE thank you to Professor Crosley Gracie, Ryan Murphy, Fernandos Valdes, and the friends and classmates I’ve made and met along the way for the help and motivation you all have given me for the 10 years I’ve been there, seriously, it means the world to me. It’s been a journey here and I am so grateful to have been a part of such a caring and attentive group. Much love to you all ❤️
Crossley Gracie gym has been incredible for our family. Both my sons attend, and the coaches have an amazing ability to balance discipline with fun while shaping good character. One of my sons used to be a really bad sport when he lost, and by his third or fourth class he was already showing real sportsmanship, something we’d tried for a long time to teach at home. That alone blew me away. The coaches are supportive, motivating, and genuinely invested in every child. The children are all so focused because they love learning and participating. Most dojo owners don’t care for the small trivial stuff or the “little people”, but all the students get excited to see Crosley and the coaches, they all greet them no matter how busy it is, and treat everyone like they’re an important part of a solid community! My husband even says he’d stay in Brentwood just for this gym when I try float the idea of moving away!
