If you are looking to join a BJJ gym in the Weatherford area this is the gym to join as it offers an environment and culture you don't find at other gyms in the area. Here is what distinguishes the gym: 1. Environment - Coach Tony and his cadre of instructors have created a place for all to positively learn the art of Jiu Jitsu. All the instructors are great with the kids as well as adults of all ages. I found camaraderie and fellowship at the gym. This is a family friendly environment where all can learn. It's a clean and bright gym which supports the positive atmosphere. 2. Culture - the culture here is different than most gyms. It's one of positive life long learning not only of the martial art, but of life in general. It is an encouraging culture for the kids as they learn as well as for the adults. It reinforces constant learning and seeks to help everyone be their best at their skill level and for their individual objectives. The
I’ve been training at this self-defense focused gym for over a year now, and I couldn't be more impressed. The environment here is top-notch, blending professionalism with a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. The mixed-gender classes are handled with exceptional skill and respect, ensuring that all participants feel comfortable and supported. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and dedicated, focusing on practical self-defense techniques that are applicable in real-world situations. Whether you're a man or a woman, the training here is both challenging and rewarding, making it a fantastic choice for anyone serious about enhancing their self-defense skills. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality jiu-jitsu experience!
A friendly and safe place to get high-quality jiu jitsu and self-defense instruction. They have a structured curriculum, so I learn something new every single time I go. I have consistently trained there for 1-year now, and I have never gotten injured. Coach Tony V is an incredible instructor and an overall great guy. His wife and children who help run the gym are genuinely nice and welcoming people. Great family atmosphere. Great for people at any level, from those with no experience to black belts. Highly recommend you check it out.
I came from a sport based Jiu-Jitsu school, and it's a world of difference. Gracie Jiu Jitsu is an incredible system that gives you real life self defense skills you can use right away. You get to learn sports style stuff later as well, but the real focus for beginners is self defense and safety first. Coach Tony is awesome. He has such a depth of knowledge of the art, and you can tell he really loves teaching and helping people learn. The whole team is awesome too. Everyone is there to help and learn from one another. I couldn't recommend a better martial arts program. It is truly for anyone and everyone regardless of age or experience. Try it out, I guarantee you won't regret it!
The best jiu jitsu in town for our kids. The teaching and patience they have is what sold us plus a 10 free class to see if we wanted to commit- you can’t beat that. My littlest is in Mat munchkin for 4YO and coach will definitely burn their energy out and for my oldest who’s in jr. Grapplers has learn so much of different moves within his first week of being in it. They both enjoy it tremendously. Thank you Gracies for teaching them to feel confident and showing them how to defend themselves.
This place is great. They make it fun and informative for the kids! There is always enough instructors to help the growing classes. Sometimes I panic at the amount of children per class, but once they get going it works and everyone (we are beginners) has help and guidance. Also, the parents/kids that are there to learn are people you want to be around! Highly recommend.
