Robert Klenka is the teacher everyone wishes they found the first time. Knowledgeable, experienced, and down-to-earth enough to effectively teach anyone with a desire to learn. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to take his Trauma class (also called Tactical Emergency Causality Care (TECC)). It had a great time as a beginner, and it came with a bunch of other certifications too, which I felt was a good bang for my buck. No matter what class you decide to take, you won't regret it!
Robert was a great teacher and very communicative leading up to the class. We took a Civilian Trauma, CPR, and AED class. I took it with my teenage son and feel like we are better prepared for real life scenarios like falls, cuts, or car accidents. The location has a microwave, mini fridge and one bathroom. If you run hot, you’re going to love how cool this place is. If not, bring a light sweater to be comfortable. I’m looking forward to a class this summer with improvised tourniquets.
I am a senior citizen and I learned some good defense tactics when I attended the women's combative class taught by Robert and Jennifer. They are very good and the information and scenarios we practiced on the mat were very helpful. I definitely feel more aware if approached by an attacker and I highly recommend their class.
My daughters and I took the women empowered class. It was fantastic. It’s a husband and wife that are instructions where there day jobs are engineers at Lockheed Martin. They have been instructors for years and incredibly knowledgeably! The class was very thorough with lots of practice. I can’t recommend this class enough
I took the Active Bystander TECC class as a refresher, and Robert was great. He is a very organized presenter, and is one of those rare people who can both do it and teach it well. I highly recommend this class to keep yourself prepared for emergencies, and to better keep yourself and your loved ones safe. Never forget that no amount of gun skill is going to keep your kid from bleeding out.
Took the Combat Trauma Training class in July and it was genuinely fantastic! Robert is clearly passionate about this subject and it shows. He is funny and tells great stories with a sardonic, dry wit. An incredibly important class that everyone should take, especially with the state of the world these days.
