I’ve been coming here since I started my Jiu Jitsu journey towards the end of 2022. In the few years I’ve been here I can say coming to this school was one of the best life decisions I’ve ever made. Jiu Jitsu has helped me lose a ton of weight, gain self confidence and has given me a lifelong hobby I really enjoy. This school is amazing and has so many solid programs to choose from. In fact our whole family has trained here and I’m glad to have put my two kids aged 5 and 7 in the buddah and kids program over these past few years. I’m proud to see their personal growth come along with confidence and self discipline due to this school. Thanks to all the staff and coaches here for helping us along the way. Mando the owner is a great leader and awesome person. Highly recommend coming to this school.
My 8 year-old daughter and 6 year-old son have been taking jiujitsu lessons at this studio for 7 months now and have excelled in their confidence and basic athletic abilities. The owners and instructors are dedicated and provide high level instruction per my husband who has done jiujitsu before. They have also taken Judo classes and had great experiences with this art form as well. We highly recommend this martial arts studio for your children. We have not taken the adult classes obviously, but the adults leaving and entering the studio seem happy to be there.
We have been part of the Zen family since the very beginning. My boys have developed into confident and disciplined fighters. The year we enrolled BOTH my boys won good citizenship awards for the end of the year. My little one defended another kid from a bully and my older one had improved in his behavior overall. A lot of the staff there know how to communicate with the wiggly impulsive kids but really ALL the staff members there are very friendly and eager to welcome anyone into the Zen community. I highly recommend zen. They have been like a second family. They have something for everyone at any level.
I have been training Brazilian jiu jitsu here for a little over a year, had no clue what I was walking into. The moment I stepped through those doors, I was treated like family. Now I couldn’t imagine this place not being a part of my life. The owners are fantastic people, the coaches are very knowledgeable, and patient. If you miss a few classes nobody will hassle you… whether you are there to get in shape physically and mentally, or you want to compete as much as possible… Zen is most definitely a great place to start!
A little over a year ago my four year old son was having major confidence/resilience issues. My husband was deployed and I had no idea how to help him. He suggested I put him in BJJ and I found Mando and his team. They have done so much for Jack, getting him to push out of his comfort zone and find mental strength through martial arts. We are such believers now all of our kids and even my husband take classes at Zen. It’s a great family oriented place full of great staff and instructors! Five ⭐️ s!
Such a welcoming place! All the coaches are super sweet and know what they’re doing. You can tell that they really love what they do. And the owner actually cares about his students. They have a really great program for the kiddos, as well as the best MMA, judo, and jujitsu for adults in the city. Overall a great vibe and really cool place to train. Also props for always keeping the place very clean :)
