Make the call that will change your life. I'm your average guy in his mid 40's, married, kids, chores, the usual stuff that we spend most of our time with. I had tried Jiu Jitsu in Colorado for a couple months before I moved to Texas and it was amazing. Then we moved here and the gym I found was not so great, just not my crowd. I gave up on Jiu Jitsu for about 4 years until I realized I really needed the benefits of Jiu Jitsu in my life. I decided to get off my butt and look for a place to get started again and I found Schembri Method right down the street. 6 months of procrastinating later and I made the call (sent email). That's when I met Professor Peppe. Probably one of the coolest people I have ever met. He gave me an introductory class to see if his classes would be a good fit for me. Within the first 5 minutes I knew this was the place for me. You don't have to be a world-class Jiu-Jitsu artist to know that Peppe is a world-class
I’ve been training Bjj for 13 years and my job demands me to travel frequently. I’ve trained many many places under many many world class instructors and I can safely say Peppe is at the top of that list. I trained under his and his brother (legendary Bjj world champion and former MMA fighter Nino Schembri) tutelage for many years in California until he moved to Texas recently. All I can say is if anyone is thinking about a place to train I guarantee you this is the place for you. His mellow hilarious personality will always make you feel welcome and his 40+ years of experience and attention to detail will guarantee you rapid improvement. Highly recommend this academy. Professor Peppe Schembri has amazing jiu-jitsu, but also has the ability to teach and cares greatly about his students. He is always patient and gentle, but knows when to push you when that is needed as well. He helped me tremendously with my game in the time I had to train with him with his details he gave me on my low knee shield, butterfly guard, and guillotine that I still use as a black belt training 10+years. Has the old school game since he has roots to jiu-jitsu back in Brazil with the Gracie family, but also always up to date with the modern techniques and methods since he is passionate about jiu-jitsu.

Schembri Method Jiujitsu is an amazing place to train. Professor Pepe is super knowledgeable and the attention to detail when he is demonstrating a move will improve anyones game, regardless if you are a white belt or black belt. The academy is really nice and super clean. If anyone is looking for a Jiujitsu gym you MUST check this place out. Also, professor Pepe’s brother is Nino Schembri. If you know Jiujitsu you know who Nino “Elvis” Schembri is.
I've been training BJJ since 2021 and recently moved to Texas for work. I decided to get back into Jiu Jitsu and found Peppe's gym. I did one class with Peppe and immediately knew this was the gym for me. Peppe is an excellent instructor and provides a great gym culture for experienced practitioners or people just getting into Jiu Jitsu.
