Daisy Fresh Jiu Jitsu has been very welcoming! Jorge is an incredible instructor - he's not only extremely knowledgeable, but teaches in a way that's easy to understand and remember. What really stands out is how much he tailors his coaching to your personal goals, which has made a huge difference in my progress. Jorge also checks in with me outside of training, which has helped me stay disciplined and consistent- especially on days I don't feel like going. That level of care and commitment is rare, and it shows how genuinely he supports his students. This is the first gym I've actually stayed consistent with, and that says a lot. The facility itself is great- plenty of mat space to train, and yes, there's even a pit! (Iykyk.) Whether you're new to jiu jitsu or looking to take your training to the next level, I highly recommend Daisy Fresh. You won't just get solid instruction- you'll find a real community. I’m new to Denton, Texas and was looking for a place to train. I stopped by Daisy Fresh North Texas and had a great experience. The facility is clean and spacious, and the class I joined was led by Professor Jorge. It was an all-levels class with a great mix of students—from younger adults to people like me who are a bit older. The class structure was clear and balanced, making it beginner-friendly while still challenging for more advanced students. I really liked Professor Jorge’s teaching style and his philosophy behind Jiu-Jitsu. You can tell he cares about helping each student grow at their own pace. I also saw the kids’ class and it looked well-organized and fun. Overall, a solid experience and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area.
Where do I begin? From the prestine mats to a declorated coach and everyone els involved at this gym, the level of training at Daisy Fresh is unmatched. Jorge's style of coaching is dialed in and pays focus to everyone in attendance at every class from Kids, beginner and advanced class. I couldn't ask for a better place to learn and train Jiu Jitsu.
As a retired Army veteran, finding a place with both structure and a sense of community was important to me and I found exactly that at Daisy Fresh. Jorge runs a world-class jiu-jitsu program here, and the level of instruction is truly top-tier. They also have an incredible wrestling program with some of the best coaches around. Whether you're a hobbyist looking to get in shape or a serious competitor trying to take your game to the next level, they meet you where you are and help you grow. What really sets this place apart is the welcoming, family-like atmosphere. It’s not just a gym, it’s a home. I can’t recommend it enough.
Great gym to start BJJ, or if you’re looking to advance your skills. I’ve attended some of the more popular and well known gyms in the Denton area, but the way Jorge approaches BJJ, is in my opinion the best for what I like, and based on the amount of new students I see sign up weekly, (some from out of state, or different countries) it works for a lot of others too. It’s a clean gym with a welcoming atmosphere, and he does make sure we’re being safe, but not restricted.
Great gym, great people, great vibes. I’ve trained at quite a few gyms at this point and this is my favorite bar none. Jorge is not only incredibly insightful, but he has also been tremendously accommodating during the process I went through to change gyms. Highly recommend training here to anyone, whether you’ve trained for decades or haven’t set foot in a jiu jitsu gym.
