Gracie Barra Argyle is a wonderful new GB location in Argyle, TX. The head instructor, Alejandro Siquiera is a 4th degree black belt who is an accomplished instructor and gi/no-gi competitor. I was fortunate to train under Professor Alejandro previously and was able recently to train again at his school in Argyle. The Argyle school is an excellent place for children or adults to begin their jiu jitsu journey. Whether the journey is for improving your overall health, or learning self defense, Professor Alejandro will help you meet your goals. I started wirh Gracie Barra almost three years ago with my son and I could not be more pleased with the progress we have both achieved with the martial art of jiu jitsu. My daughter has been learning Jiu-Jitsu from Prof. Alejandro Siqueira since she was barely 5 years old, and we were thrilled to be in Argyle this Thanksgiving for the opening of the new Gracie Barra school. Knowing Jiu-Jitsu is one thing, but being able to *teach* it—really teach it—is something far more special. Prof. Alejandro has that rare gift. He breaks down every technique with clarity and patience: first showing the full movement in one flow, then teaching it step by step, and then encouraging the kids to tell him what the next step is. No child or adult is ever left behind. I’ve watched a few instructors over the years, and I can confidently say I’m a huge fan of his teaching style. And then there’s his passion—not just for the art itself, which is undeniable—but for teaching, and for the kids. One small example that speaks volumes: he knows every child’s name in his class. Every single one. That level of personal care matters.

I’ve had an amazing experience at Gracie Barra Argyle. The environment is super welcoming, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced. The coaches really take their time to help everyone improve and feel comfortable on the mats. Professor Alejandro and Professor Ryan are both incredible instructors. They explain techniques clearly, pay attention to detail, and make sure everyone is learning the right way. You can tell they really care about their students’ progress and safety. Professor Alejandro is not only a fantastic Jiu Jitsu practitioner, competitor, and teacher. He is a fantastic human being. Staunch in character and kind in heart.
