Outstanding gym! From the first time we stopped by to inquire about the classes for our oldest son the experience continues to be incredible. Now myself and both sons train here. The discipline and control development has been incedible to see on and off the mats and I look forward to seeing how this gym will continue to have a positive impact on many aspects of our lives. The kids classes, 3-5, 5-8 and 9-13 are strategically grouped, well organized and planned allowing each student to develop at their speed with safety always being a priority. The gym itself is best in class when it comes to mats, equipment, and is always spotless! The pride in ownership and leadership of the facility truly shows every day lead by Professor Leigh and Renee. I am writing this about half a year since moving to Denton, but CMJJ Denton has been incredible so far! Coming in from a different state, I needed to find a new Jiu Jitsu gym. This was the first place I checked out. The gym and staff made me feel welcome on day 1, and I felt like I had no reason to visit to any other gym. All classes are always taught with plenty of detail, the instructors are always willing to share their Jiu Jitsu expertise with the class, and much more. There is a great community behind CMJJ Denton and a great competition culture. I personally think this is the best Jiu Jitsu gym in the Denton area, for both kids and adults, especially with the value of a membership and the classes they have to offer.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been a transformative experience for my entire family along with several of my best friends. We're grateful to be part of the CMJJ community. The instructors here are highly skilled and passionate about teaching, and the Denton academy offers a variety of classes that accommodate our busy schedules. Great place to train! Professor Leigh is an incredible instructor with a wealth of knowledge. I’ve been training for a while, and when I came to this academy 3 months ago for a trial, I knew this was my new place because of the family vibe, and the way the classes are taught. Renee is so nice, welcoming, and helpful! She will get you squared away with your membership, any gear you need, or anything else you need help with. Great location and schedule, just a great place to train no matter your skill level. Glad to be part of the CMJJ Denton family!
Before Machado Martial Arts I had enrolled my son in a few other martial arts programs which provided me with the opportunity to develop my likes and dislikes about the various different programs. After this experience and careful research I naturally ended up at Machado Martial because it has the best monthly price in town, classes 7 days a week and at Machado Martial Arts , they separate the classes by age group ( that way my 9 year old is not sparring with a five year old) Moreover, the owner and the instructors perpetuate a family atmosphere and dynamic ambiance. Corbin is the instructor for the youth kickboxing and offers world-class instruction in technique and is absolutely great with teaching kids. Machado Martial Arts, is in my opinion the perfect environment for both children and adults to learn martial arts and evolve both physically and intellectually
I can't recommend this gym enough. My boys and I have been going to CMJJ Denton for over a year and it has been nothing but fantastic. They have great class options for kids of all ages and great options for adults. We had never done jiu-jitsu prior to coming here and the staff/coaches did a fantastic job of making us feel welcome. The gym is cleaned daily and they take safety seriously! If you are thinking of starting your jiu-jitsu journey, this is the place to do it!
