We looked to get our kid into Judo after being told how much it can help kids with ADHD. After being referred here by a friend, we showed up for 2 free classes to see if it would be a good fit for our son. From day 1, we noted the focus and discipline all the kids displayed on the mat. Even when Sensei Justin Rose or the coaches were busy with other parents/kids, the rest of the class stayed on task and knew exactly what to do and what was expected of them. We have now been coming here for about 18 months and the changes we have seen in our kid have been significant and positive. His focus and self control are greatly improved, and his self confidence is sky high. But the best thing is that he gets to learn self defense for real world scenarios. Justin does a great job pushing the kids to work their hardest and prove to themselves what warriors they can be, while also balancing with fun, tough love and encouragement to build the kids up

Not many Jiu-Jitsu or Judo schools can say they’ve helped produce Division 1 college wrestlers and not one in the metroplex can claim a 4x UIL 6A High School State Champion except Bushido MMA. My son, Isaak Arevalo, is living proof of what happens when real martial arts are taught with discipline, intention, and love. The practical Judo and Jiu-Jitsu taught at Bushido didn’t just make him capable of defending himself..it gave him a foundation that carried him through wrestling, life, and now to West Point as a future Black Knight. Sensei Rose is an amazing coach and friend to me. I am in the adult class, which is a little different from the kids’ class. We learn not only Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Muay Thai, but practical uses for self-defense in a potentially life-threatening scenario. I would highly recommend this school to anybody that wants to learn how to properly defend themselves against real-world threats that they may encounter. Cannot speak highly enough about Bushido MMA.
I have practiced the Martial Arts for 52 years, refereed the first 200 MMA fights in Texas, and know many of the great competition fight instructors in DFW. I chose to bring my grandchild to Justin Rose and am glad I did. He is winning the majority of his competition matches, and I credit the specific skill sets Master Rose has taught him.
