I recently had the pleasure of attending an open mat session at Memphis Judo and Jiu-Jitsu, and it was an outstanding experience! From the moment I stepped in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed yet energetic, making it a perfect place to train and connect with others who share a love for Jiu-Jitsu. During the open mat, I was impressed by how inviting and supportive the group was. People of all skill levels were happy to roll, share techniques, and offer insights, creating a collaborative and encouraging environment. If you’re looking for a gym with a strong sense of community and a passion for Jiu-Jitsu, I can’t recommend Memphis Judo and Jiu-Jitsu enough. I’ll definitely be back for more!
I have gone to many martial arts facilities over the years in many different cities and states and this place is by far my favorite. Memphis judo & jiujitsu accommodates my whole family. My husband and I do the boxing & kickboxing , my kids aging 13yrs -4 yrs old are involved in boxing and jiujistu. The instructors are AMAZING. My kids have been coming everyday for over a year and this is their favorite part of the day. My 5 yr old daughter has placed 1st and 2nd in her first 2 competitions and cant wait for the next one ! The kids program is superb and all the instructors are very knowledgeable and great with my kids. I could not recommend this place enough. It is our second home now !
I'm in Memphis temporarily and needed a local gym to train Muay Thai. I dropped in to Memphis Judo & Jiu Jitsu and have nothing but good things to say. The owner, Brooke, was super friendly and welcoming. The facility is huge with plenty of mat space. The coaches have a ton of experience, they're active competitors, and the instruction is top notch. It's been an honor and pleasure to train and learn from this crew. If I was a Memphis local, this would definitely be my home gym. Highly recommended. Thank you in advance to all the staff and training partners here at Memphis Judo & Jiu Jitsu! 🙏🏼
Memphis Judo & Jiu-Jitsu has been an amazing experience for our family! Both of my daughters—ages 12 and 8—absolutely love their time here. The instructors are incredibly patient, positive, and skilled at working with kids of different ages and experience levels. They create a fun and structured environment where my girls are not only learning self-defense and discipline but also building confidence, focus, and respect. It’s clear that the coaches genuinely care about each child’s growth—both on and off the mat. I’ve seen such a boost in my daughters’ self-esteem and motivation since starting here. If you're looking for a place that combines top-notch martial arts training with a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for kids, this is it. Highly recommend!
Memphis Judo & Jiu Jitsu is an absolutely top notch gym and training center. I was in Memphis for a two week work trip, I tried several gyms, and this place blew them all away. Especially their boxing program. I've boxed for 20 years, in three states, with some great coaches, including an Olympic Gold Medalist. Coach Bot (and his affiliate gym, Bot's Boxing) is among the best. Great coaches and gym staff, super accommodating and very reasonable pricing, especially law enforcement friendly. 10/10, 100% will train again next time I'm in town, and definitely recommend.
I was traveling for work and stopped by to get a couple rolls in at the end of the week. I was welcomed with a great community of people and stunned but the amount of space they had. I have been all around the world for BJJ and can say that this school is a real stand out gem. The organization, quality of instruction, variety of training disciplines, and facilities are perfect for all levels of hobbyists or competitors. The building is sectioned off so that several types of classes can all go on at the same time without interfering with each other and I can say they have something for everyone. The monthly rates are modest as well especially given whats on offer. If they had something like this in my home town it would without a doubt be my gym. I definitely recommend that if your in the Memphis area and are looking to start training that this is the place to be. Thanks for the great time guys and gals.
