I started training jiu jitsu at Finishers about 6 months ago with no prior experience. Immediately the coaching staff paired me up with helpful partners and took the time to help me make sense of everything. All of the coaches are super talented but also just really good dudes, always willing to help everyone learn. Great classes for beginners and intermediate/advanced levels. All of the students are super friendly and helpful also, overall a super positive experience, If you’re nervous about starting jiu jitsu, don’t be- this is the place!
I’m a mom who signed up her 5 year old girl just under a month ago. Didn’t see any other “mom for their kid” reviews so here’s one: In one word, Amazing! Highly, HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering if this is an age appropriate place for their kids, especially for the very young. From jump, the instructors were very transparent, very informative, Extremely patient with explaining every aspect of this sport (with my having zero previous knowledge or exposure) for me and my child. The owner and a few other leaders reached out to me during sign up to make sure my process went smoothly and left communication open for any questions I had. Since day one I cannot get my girl away from this gym! She wants to be here everyday! and guess what, she CAN be bc your membership allows you to! 5 days a week if you wanted bc there’s a class everyday day for these kids. I think it’s an AMAZING deal for the amount of experience you’re able to obtain. H
Absolutely an amazing environment to train and practice your craft. Finishers MMA has an amazing set up from Grappling Mats to a replica boxing and kickboxing ring to a weight room for more extensive workouts. The coaches are all very knowledgeable and take their time teaching in a great group setting. Not one student had an ego to them and was very welcoming and that what I love. I met with Coach Jimmy and he showed me the ropes and basically brought me up to speed with what they have going on. I will return May 1st at a new and improved weight and let the fun begin for me. I’ve been training at Finishers since i was a kid. The head instructor and my coach, Zach, is not only is a great instructor but a great person on and off the mats. The facility is top notch with two mats, three martial arts programs (jiujitsu, kickboxing, mma) and even a fully functional strength and conditioning gym in the back. I would recommend Finishers to anyone at any point of their martial arts journey, from their first day to years in the game.
I love this school. I have been going here since I was a kid and the coaches and students are the most professional and kind people I ever met. They absolutely know what they are talking about and are truly very respected fighters in the MMA community. They teach great values and discipline and will uplift you into the best fighter you can be. Before going to this school I was a very shy and unconfident kid and the coaches and people at this school made me into a self confident, more respectful and mature person as a whole. I highly recommend Finishers MMA. It is the best jiu jitsu/MMA gym in the world.
Best jiu jitsu gym in PA! Coaches are great and always willing to help level up your game!! They offer training for all levels. Their beginner fundamental classes helped me so much in understanding the sport of jiu jitsu. Grateful to have this gym close to me and the community of men and women who pushes each other to get better! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
