I have been training at Clinch Martial Arts for almost 6 years, this was my first introduction to jujitsu and I couldn’t have pick a better training facility and welcoming instructor. Christian’s passion for jujitsu shows in his teachings, it is also reflected in his students and their performance on and off the mats. This is a family friendly atmosphere, and after 6 years of training in this family friendly atmosphere my teammates are now family and I highly recommend Clinch and Christian’s teachings to anyone wanting a challenge.
My son and I have been attending Clinch for over 2 months now and we both love it. Christian is a great coach that is very welcoming to new students and has a great way of making techniques make sense to everyone. Above all, for me, is his ability to teach children in an effective and safe manner. It's great to be able to share this experience with my son and go through the Jiu Jitsu journey together. In addition to great coaching, the other students are great. I have not met one person who has been rude, in fact, its been the complete opposite. Everyone is willing to work together to improve each others game and become better practitioners. If you are looking for a place to train BJJ with great people and top notch coaching, you should definitely give Clinch a chance.
Clinch is a great place to train no matter your age or skill level. I put my daughter in the kids class and she loved it right from the start, and now I've been doing the adult classes. Christian and his coaches are extremely knowledgable and always ready to help you learn and progress. Whether your goal is to learn self defense, do sport bjj or just to meet really great people and get a better workout than you can anywhere else, Clinch is the spot.
Coach Christian and his talented staff of martial art practitioners demonstrate excellence in each class at Clinch Martial Arts Academy. They have all been encouraging, professional and provided an exceptional education for my son and I. Adult and kids Jiu- Jitsu are great classes for both beginners or experienced students. I have been treated with respect and support during my 3.5 years here. Highly recommended!!
I love Clinch! I've been training here for four years and never stopped learning or feeling challenged. Christian Derr is a word class instructor! He teaches and structures his classes to all levels and makes everyone feel welcome. We are also very lucky to have Peppe Johnson coaching boxing, he knows boxing and he knows how to push you. He leads fun, yet intense classes. It's a great atmosphere in the gym, support or guidance is never hard to find. I would recommend Clinch to anyone.
We love Clinch! My girls have been going for almost a year now and love it! Coach Christian is really good about pairing kids up with other kids that won’t overwhelm your child. Him and Coach Simon are good at not only teaching but making sure your child is listening and understanding the techniques. I have been quite proud of watching my girls be scared to roll with other kids at first, to excited and implementing what they’ve learned in class.
