Jedi Jiu-Jitsu is hands down the best place to train in Tulsa! Jamo has built a top-notch facility with clean, spacious mats and an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned competitor, you’ll feel right at home here. The kids’ program is outstanding — the instructors are patient, professional, and know exactly how to keep kids engaged while teaching real skills and building confidence. Our children have grown so much both on and off the mats thanks to their time here. The competition team consistently ranks in the top 3 in the area, and the Muay Thai program is led by a 3-time world champion — you simply won’t find better instruction anywhere in Tulsa. If you’re looking for a high-quality, family-friendly gym with amazing people and world-class training, you need to check out Jedi Jiu-Jitsu!
There is NO better place to take yourself, family, or children to learn Jiu Jitsu. My family and I have been training at JJJ for the last four years and we can't even remember our lives before coming to JJJ. Professor Jamie teaches "Life improvement through Jiu Jitsu" and he does it well. As an adult, I have seen a huge improvement (health, attitude, happiness) in my life and my wife has as well. Our children are much more confident, well behaved, and have really flourished as members of Jamo's team. If you have ever thought about learning Jiu Jitsu, go try them out. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and there are a lot of women that train there so you know its a safe environment for ladies. Don't just take my word for it. Come try it out for yourself and see how much fun it is!!!
This place is amazing. My 8yr old started his jiu-jitsu journey here when he was 4 years old. We tried multiple free trial classes at other gyms around town and no where came close to Jedi and how Professor Jamie Mickle connects with the kids. I now have had both my boys training at Jedi for years. They have joined the Competition Team and have competed in almost a dozen tournaments all over the state. Jedi always makes a strong showing as an Academy in AGF Competitions. Jiu-jitsu with Professor Jamie Mickle has changed my kids lives for the better in almost every facet of their life. You become part of a family here. Come check it out! You won't regret it.
I started doing Judo and Jiu Jitsu at Jedi six months ago. It has been an incredible experience. They offer Jiu Jitsu for adults seven days a week. They deep clean the dojo weekly, and the mats every single night. Professor Jamie and staff are very knowledgeable and approachable. The general feeling is one of improvement for yourself and your peers. They value taking care of their members and preparing them for sport martial arts and self-defense. I would recommend coming into to Jedi and giving it a try. I know members who are in their 70’s and there is an incredible kid’s program that is always full. So it is truly a place for anyone and everyone. If you are looking for a place to begin or even continue your Martial Arts journey, I would deeply consider Jedi. I would consider them for their knowledge and experience, investment in the community itself, and commitment to cleanliness!
If I could give this home 10 stars, I would. Notice I said this home, not this gym. I don't say that lightly. I've been to a few in the area and quite a few of them are full of dudes who have something to prove. My entire family (5 members including my niece and my 10 yr old autistic son) train here and we do so to learn how to become better versions of ourselves. It is a blessing to train at a place where the gym's core values align with the principles that my wife and I teach our boys daily. Respect yourself, respect others and have fun doing it. You could train elsewhere, I just don't see why you would.
Jedi jiu-jitsu has a great team of coaches. Everyone will work with you to get better. I highly doubt you could find a better gym. All the kids love Professor Jamie. He is really great with the kids. Jedi jiu-jitsu could be a really great family activity for spouses and children alike.
