Legacy is really a wonderful place for you or your kids to not only learn martial arts but also to learn how to be a better person. My 8 year old daughter started just a few months ago, and she was welcomed in with open arms. Her classmates are some of the best little leaders that you could ask for. And the coaching is really top notch. Justin Rader wants to develop character as much if not more than martial skills. That being said, he is a world class level BJJ black belt, and a great teacher too. My daughter has already started to show more confidence and leadership, both on and off the mat. I started the adult program as well recently, and have felt similarly welcomed in. It’s close to equally male and female, so ladies, don’t be scared to come in and check it out; you will fit right in. The people are really nice. There’s no “tough-guy” atmosphere here. I’m nearly forty, and this has been a great way for me to lose some weight and i
I joined Legacy back in June, and I’m genuinely grateful I did. From day one, the environment has been welcoming, supportive, and respectful—no ego, just people who truly care about training and helping each other improve. The coaching at Legacy is outstanding. Coach Rader, a two-time BJJ world champion, leads the gym, and learning from him is an incredible opportunity. He’s extremely knowledgeable, patient, and attentive, and there’s so much you can learn from his experience, whether you’re brand new or more advanced. I’ve felt encouraged to learn at my own pace while still being challenged, which has made a huge difference in my confidence and progress. The culture here is what really stands out: friendly teammates, a clean space, and a strong sense of community. Walking into Legacy always feels like a positive part of my day. If you’re looking for a BJJ gym where you can learn, grow, and feel supported, I can’t recommend Legacy enoug
My son and I both train at Legacy Martial Arts and absolutely love it there! Professor Justin Rader is a world-class martial artist and an even better person. He leads the academy with humility and passion - always pushing everyone to continuously improve! The culture is very inviting and family friendly. There are BJJ & Kickboxing classes for all ages, and all the instructors are fantastic! If you're looking for world-class martial arts training coupled with a fun, competitive and friendly atmosphere, this is the place for you! 10/10 recommend.
Professor Rader has created an amazing martial arts program for both kids and adults at Legacy Martial Arts. My daughter began training a little over two years ago and it has been huge for her. Her martial arts progress has been incredible to watch, but it’s not just that; on top of the highest-level martial arts instruction, Professor Rader also incorporates life lessons and is trying to build not only top-notch martial artists but also great (i.e. disciplined, responsible, respectful, confident, mentally tough, etc.) humans and future leaders in our community. Going in, I knew she would get high-level martial arts instruction but when I saw all of the rest that he does it really sealed the deal. There’s no doubt in my mind that Legacy has the best kid’s program in the state, probably much further beyond. I’ve since started training at Legacy myself in the adult program and I cant say enough good things. I never would have guessed jiu-
Legacy Martial Arts is an excellent place to learn multiple forms of Martial Arts. My family receives and enjoys great instruction from Professor Rader who has an extensive wrestling background and has earned his black belt in Jiu Jitsu. There is an incredible amount of students that attend training regularly and they’re all very welcoming and respectful. Legacy has an abundance of youth members of various age, size, and experience levels that make for ideal partnering. Legacy possesses excellent class curriculum with plenty of eager assistants who are very helpful. My children are becoming better individuals on and off the mat with the help of Team Legacy and we are very thankful. 👍
Cannot recommend Legacy Martial Arts enough! My son and I have both been taking classes for a few months now. From the parent perspective- First Professor Rader is an incredible teacher. And he has brought up several excellent junior coaches through the program since they were little ones. They are great examples for the kids to chase after! The environment is disciplined but still fair and fun! My son has gained a lot of confidence, self-control, and has made a ton of friends in his time there. As an adult student- The coaches and the environment are what makes this place great! The coaches are great at explaining these movements clearly and show a genuine interest in our progress. And they each give great details on techniques from their own perspectives for us to think about and try as we are learning. Everyone is welcoming and always trying to just help each other get better.
