I have been coming to Kaizen Brazilian Jiu jitsu & kickboxing for about 7 months now and all I can say is wow! For someone who has always wanted to practice a martial art Kaizen was the perfect place to start. All the instructors are phenomenal, they are very patient and are eager to help you achieve whatever goals you have set for yourself. Being the first time I tried a martial art the environment was very welcoming, clean and judgement free. The kick boxing was a big plus too, you will definitely get an amazing work out coming out of there. Jiu jitsu has become part of my everyday life now and i am excited for the day my son comes of age to get him started with the kids program Kaizen offers as well! Don't hesitate to come in for a class, see you on the mat. #oss
My son has been coming to Kaizen for over a year. The instructors treat us like family. He has learned so much about fitness, flexibility, technique, respect, and determination. What he has learned at Kaizen trickles into his school and home life. The best part is that he likes what he is learning and looks forward to going to class due to the heartfelt job of Manny and his instructors. They got to know my son and my family. They gear their teaching to the individual. They work with you. They encourage and hold their students to high standards. The facility is clean, welcoming, and has a variety of class times and kinds of lessons. Thank you, Kaizen for all you have done for my son!
Professor Mendonis is an amazing instructor! He pushes you to be your very best. The school itself is super clean and the instructors are friendly and motivate you every step of the way. They make you feel as if you're part of a family when you attend. If you're serious about your training, or just looking to meet some great people while learning Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing or Yoga, you definitely owe it to yourself to check this place out. With so many classes and hours to choose from you will always be able to maintain your fitness goals.
The BEST Martial arts Academy in NYC. A complete hidden Gem. World Class instructors, I've gained so much more insight starting back on my journey. I've been training for a year now, It was very challenging getting back. But the amount of support I've received is truly incredible. I've had a tremendous loss of my best friend back in 2017 when I stopped jujitsu, and struggled with depression. Kaizen has helped me on my healing journey, the great people, positive space, and environment. Especially for women, which is difficult to find a home to train jujitsu. Kaizen has helped and continues to help transform my life through this practice. Looking forwards to growing here for years to come, and one day obtaining my black belt. So YES!! Just start. Oss!! Chef Jullenne❤
My son has been attending for about a year. The results are amazing. I don't have to worry about him being bullied as he can very well hold his own. Example: he's a little more than 90 lbs, I'm about 180, and he can take me down quickly and effectively.

Professor Mendonis and the fellow instructors are great. They are pros in the industry. They foster an engaging environment of respect and positivity. They emphasize progress, each session improving incrementally over the next.

Kaizen treats everyone who attends as individuals. They give focused attention to their students. Their teaching techniques are exemplary. My son typically gets bored with extracurricular programs - he loves going to Kaizen BJJ. :)

The Dojo is well maintained and parents are more than welcome to watch throughout the whole class.

Kaizen is a gem in the community.
