I have trained with Kenny for about decade and a half If you want a clean safe place to work out and learn top notch self defense Brach’s is the place to be. Kenny’s teaching style allows you to progress at your own pace, competence at bjj takes patients time and dedication. Ken will give you all the tools you need to succeed. Kenny is the real deal. He is a decorated US Marine Force Recon Operator. Most people would never guess because he’s such a humble family man soft spoken and great with working with kids.His youth programs can’t be beat. My son trained with Brach during his teenage years and Kenny helped prepare him mentally and physically for military boot camp. He was the first to submit a recommendation to the military academy for my son we aren’t just students. Since coming to Brach's MMA, my fundamentals in BJJ has gotten better and my understanding of every technique is pretty clear. In every class, you learn something and if you follow his Team Balance chart for every week you will get a clear understanding of what to expect in class. Literally, this is my 4th school and I must say that I'm very satisfied with the outcome of every class I attend. I've been to schools where you can cut the ego with a knife and training with people who think they are better than you just to hurt you or someone else. Here, repetitions of the drills come very handy because it'll be easier to apply and remember next time around. This is the most humble school I've been to and that's something that I appreciate very much because we all help each other from white to black belt which treats everyone to be equal. I highly recommend this school to learn martial arts and practical self defense! Coach Brach is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor. He demonstrates techniques in a very easy to learn way, and has no problems in explaining and/or repeating them. The membership at this school includes access to any of his classes, like Brazilian jiu jitsu, kickboxing, and vale tudo, which is great value. Coach Brach was in my corner during the Naga grappling tournament, in which I was able to win a gold medal. Definitely try out the classes, if you stick with it, you will learn something valuable and practical.
Ken is absolutely amazing. Our entire family trains here. He is a great instructor and leader. He has a strong moral compass and a huge wealth of knowledge in various aspects of martial arts. I love that he will teach the skills from various perspectives of martial arts and why/how certain techniques work better or worse in specific situations. My children beg us to go train and the flexible scheduling works great for us with all of the different sports we balance. More than that, everyone who trains here is so welcoming and they all help each other in training. It’s a great environment all around!
Working with Kenny has been one of the best things that I have ever decided to do. He is great to work with whether you are young or old, healthy or coming back from injury. The positive effects of working with Kenny extends way beyond the class room. It has brought a sense of peace and balance to my life in both my personal life and career. For anyone who has ever been curious about training Jiu-Jitsu, please go check out a class at Brach's. For women, I believe he is starting to teach women only classes soon.
So many outstanding things to say so little room to write all of them. I have been training BJJ with the instructor since 2008. He doesn’t only teach he cares about everything he does at the school and everyone he trains. Not only is he an outstanding instructor. He is an amazing human being. Great facility and equipment and wonderful training partners. Give the place a try you won’t be disappointed. It’s top shelf all the way. Highly recommend.
