The coaches take their time to break down techniques and make sure everyone understands, no matter what level you’re at. The atmosphere is competitive but respectful, and everyone is there to help each other get better. The gym is clean, the classes are structured, and the energy is always positive. I’ve learned so much since joining and it’s made me fall in love with jiu jitsu even more. Matheus Diniz is a legend in jiu jitsu, an ADCC champion and was the head instructor at the famous Marcelo Garcia Academy in New York, and Bill Loftus has won several jiu-jitsu championships while running another academy in Flemington successfully for years. The positive vibes are off the charts, and above all, the mat space is clean, welcoming, and challenging in the best of ways. The variety and availability of classes are for everyone: kids, beginners, and advanced players. Classes offered in the morning, afternoon, AND evenings. Ascend delivers in the best of ways.
