Gonzalez BJJ is, by far, the best experience I have had with martial arts! When you walk in you are treated like family! Jason cares about his students and goes above and beyond to meet each individual need! Jason has so many students to focus on but he has a way of making you (the new guy) feel just as important as any other student! Not only Jason, but the fellow students in class are approachable, kind, inclusive, and willing to help you out on your journey to learning BJJ! I'm in law enforcement, and not only does he have great respect for law enforcement, Jason also takes time to show me how the moves we learn can be utilized specifically for my career!! I honestly cannot speak highly enough regarding Jason and his class. I drive over an hour away to attend! If you want a place to learn BJJ, NOT feel ridiculed or judged as you learn, be part of a family, and NOT feel like just a dollar sign...Then you need to come check this place
I absolutely love this gym! My whole family does bjj and it's done wonders for us. My kids are learning self defense, staying active, making friends, and having fun. Jason and the staff are great with kids. The kids love them! My husband and I have finally found a way to stay active that we both enjoy and can do year round. We have both slimmed down, toned up, gained strength, and increased our stamina. My favorite thing over all is the community culture in the gym. I was intimidated at first but have been met with nothing but kindness from all staff and other participates. It feels so much more inviting than any other gym I've been to in the past!
Coach Jason is knowledgeable, kind and inspiring. Both the kid’s and adult programs are great whether you’re just starting out your jujitsu journey or have some experience. Prices are fair and no contract is required. My daughter and I quickly felt part of the team and a new community. Whether you are looking to become a competitor, looking to get into better shape , learn self-defense, improve your confidence or simply de-stress from everyday life, this is the place for you! For skeptical females a women’s only class is taught Tuesday night by Kirstie. Kirstie is highly organized teaching well thought-out techniques with incredible patience. She also teaches an optional yoga class to help improve balance, flexibility and strength. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
My 9 year old daughter started Jiu Jitsu in August and we were welcomed into the gym like family. It’s such a close knit group of kind, loving, and professional people. Jason is great with the kids! My daughter has been able to learn so much in such a short period of time that she already has the skills needed to compete this weekend!!! My 13 year old just finished her first week with the Adult class. Who knows who might join from our family next!! Overall it’s been such a pleasantly productive experience. 🥋
My children have a fun time and learn at a good place in the children's class. They look forward to Jiu-jitsu with Jason. For beginning children, Jason integrates the motions and fundamentals of Jiu-jitsu in fun activities and warmups, as well as starting the fundamentals of Jiu-jitsu with your child. He does not overwhelm my children, yet helps them improve every week and motivates them.
Jason puts so much of himself into his team and it shows. Any child, young person, adult, beginner, intermediate, or pro will benefit from his teachings. Self defense, BJJ, boxing, MMA, group or classes. Jason does it all. I’ve seen people leave his classes and ready go for their next. Kids love the classes! Don’t let Jason’s tough exterior fool you! He will give his shirt off his back to help anyone.
