Excellent instruction with a solid group of training partners. Dax has years of experience in grappling and is an encyclopedia of technical details. The classes are laid-back and friendly, but the instruction points are all top-notch. The group is a good group who will help you become a better grappler. If you show up, it should be pretty clear right off the bat whether this is the school for you or not. As a final comment, I'm a bit surprised to see low reviews with either no comments or else comments that don't seem to correspond to anything, um, real. I can safely say, however, that people with the time to form coherent reality-based sentences all seem to like the club. Hope to see you on the mats.
Excellent Brazilian Jiu jitsu gym with no egos and an eclectic mix of ages and characters that accept you for who you are and are ready to help. Instruction is detailed and attentive to new students while providing enough variety for more experienced practitioners. As a former chef, Dax the instructor, keeps a high standard of cleanliness at the gym and attends to the mats himself.
Dax is very knowledgeable instructor with a unique way of thinking about and teaching. He has both black belts in Judo and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. The gym is small and immaculate. The guys who train there are a fun and rowdy bunch who are tight group, but very open to new comers. If you want to learn and train this is the best spot in Bloomington.
If you are looking for a great gym with even better people then look no further than Razzano Academy. Owner and operator Dax Razzano is a encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to martial arts and is also one of the most personable and caring instructors you will find. This gym is definitely a very inviting community full of a wide range of athletes, ranging from all kinds of different backgrounds and personalities. Everyone there is super encouraging and supportive to all newcomers whether you have no experience or are a active member of the sport.
No Doubt, this is the best BJJ gym in B-Town, and even one of the best gyms in Indiana. The people train hard and have fun at the same time in the gym and Dax is an experienced instructor with brilliant sense of humor and patient. As my personal experience, I met many great people in this gym, and this gym definitely makes my college life better and gives me unforgettable memory!
The best place in town to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. At a very fair price, you can have fun and train hard. It's a really cool group and Dax is an exceptional teacher that keeps it entertaining! Come in and change your life!
