been coming here for over 2 years, and cant say enough about how much this place and the people there have changed my life for the better. They have classes morning and evening and even on the holidays in the AM. Class time/availability is unmatched in the area. Miguel personally teaches the vast majority of the classes, its not just his name on the outside of the building. He's here all day/night. Great environment for adults and kids alike. Eventually, the people there will start to feel like family to you. A lot more goes on inside these walls besides just learning to fight or get in shape. I'll just say that i'm a much better person, inside and out after coming here. People of all levels train here. Aspiring amateur and pro fighters, stay at home moms, retirees, kids...there's something here for everyone...if you're willing to take the first step and walking the door. ;)
Once you begin classes at Torres, you may as well change your last name because you're now family. Instructors, led by the inimitable Miguel Torres, give 110% to all students of all ages. Instructors are knowledgeable, skilled, approachable, and just all-around great humans. Ranging in age from 7 to 49, each of our family members is having a wonderful experience in KickBoxing and Jiu Jitsu classes. I should also mention that Mely (the real boss) runs a tight ship, with friendly front desk staff, and a super clean, you-could-eat-off-the-floor environment.
Miguel Torres is always at the gym, and unless he is training for a fight he trains everyone. He even spilt up the classes into levels so everyone can get the attention they need. There are day classes and evening classes so I never have to worry about missing a class because of work. I love it. I was at a famous Mma fighters gym before. He was rarely there, when he was I had to pay extra for the day he was teaching the class. Miguel is at his gym every day for almost every class. His prices are very reasonable. Also I love how motivating he is, and teaches the students not to be bullies. Miguel is great and his staff are just as amazing!!! Ten stars - Jessi
Love Torres! My son has been coming for a year and a half now with a break in between. When he came back it was like he never left. He fit right back in with both the kids kick boxing class and kids Jiu-jitsu. I couldn't be more satisfied with the skills he has learned in both classes. Everyone you meet here (staff, other members, other parents) is super nice and welcoming. The hours are great too- can't beat 7 days a week! Something else I appreciate is how this sport instills a great level of respect & discipline within the kids which I think is very important.
This is honestly the best thing you’ll ever do! They have the greatest staff, the greatest instructors, and the greatest classes for all levels from kids to adults! There really is no better place to learn something new then here! If you’ve ever wanted to learn kickboxing, Brazilian jujitsu and more there’s no better place and no better instructors than here at Torres Martial arts! The patience and the detail in which we are being taught is amazing! I know I sound like a commercial but I swear that it’s really worth it, I’ve been coming for a year and I can’t see myself ever stopping!
I attend the kick-boxing classes at Torres Martial Arts. I definitely feel like I've learned a lot and met some fitness goals so far in the 6 months I've been working out there. Miguel is very dedicated to his students, he is there all day everyday they are open, incredible! His staff is also very positive and friendly. It is truly a "judgement free zone" there. Everyone always seems to be very encouraging and supportive in the classes. Whether you are a beginner or have been working out for years, I think you'll find exactly what you are looking for to suit your fitness needs at Torres Martial Arts Academy!
