I started coming here recently and love it! I have trained at some great places and Kroyler Gracie Jujitsu is certainly one of them! You’re not going to find this level of training, coming from the most iconic family in bjj, anywhere around here. Kroyler is very respectful, patient, humble, and family oriented. Those same values also are clearly translated into the values of his students which make for an easy transition for new people to come and feel at home. He has very friendly and knowledgeable staff that help out with other classes such as the kids classes. I’ve observed some of the kids classes and the level of patience, professionalism, and ability to keep the kids having fun is admirable. The facility is well kept. The mats are cleaned regularly, locker rooms are well kept, and so are the restrooms. During a recent visit with family in the Indiana area, I was fortunate enough to train with Professor Kroyler and his team. I spent two training sessions with them, but walked away with such a wealth of information that I almost wanted to turn it into a BJJ vacation. There are four main points that anyone thinking about training with Professor Kroyler and his team should know. First, everyone was so welcoming and created a great training environment. Second, the training structure was extraordinary. Having trained for over 8 years at this point, I walked away from those two training sessions with several new concepts and approaches to common positions. Training at Kroyler Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by the team. The environment is positive, respectful, and motivating. Kroyler has a way of teaching that makes even the most complex techniques easy to understand, and the instructors always takes the time to make sure everyone is learning at their own pace. Since I started, I’ve not only improved my Jiu-Jitsu but also built confidence, discipline, and friendships. Every class pushes me to grow, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. If you’re looking for a place to train where you’ll be challenged, supported, and treated like family, I can’t recommend this academy enough.
My girls (4 & 6) started at Kroyler Gracie Academy two weeks ago, and it has been the absolute best experience. This was their first real class setting (we homeschool), so I wasn’t sure how they’d respond to new adults giving instruction without me right beside them. The setup has been perfect — the chairs are close to the mat, which helps them feel secure while still encouraging independence. Every instructor has been incredibly patient as they’ve learned the expectations. They gently redirect them when they get a little silly and give clear, child-friendly directions that truly connect. I love knowing my girls are building body awareness, respect, and a strong work ethic in such a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
I wish I had taken a photo with Kroyler for the review. If you are anywhere near Elkhart Indiana and you are a jiu-jitsu practitioner or just curious about jiu-jitsu go visit Kroyler. His curriculum is amazingly detailed, which I love. He is welcoming and kind. I cannot thank Kroyler enough for letting me visit his gym for a week while doing a class in Elkhart. I highly recommend going to Kroyler Gracie Jiu-Jitsu
It’s been an amazing experience so far at Kroyler Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. First of all, the people here are awesome — incredibly welcoming, supportive, and knowledgeable. The instruction is truly top tier. With that combination, I’ve seen my progress skyrocket. I’ve been training for about a month now, and my skill level doesn’t even compare to where I started. The variety of classes helps you get competitive in no time. Everyone genuinely wants to help, and it shows. You can trust the guidance you’re getting because it’s clear they were taught the right way themselves. No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend.
