I traveled up to Marianna for two weeks for work and came across this “gem” of a gym… Even though I have a decent amount of experience, it can be intimidating trying out a new gym. The hospitality I received from not only the instructors, but also the fellow students was second to none… As a collegiate wrestler myself, I can attest to Coach Kyle’s excellence in the wrestling classes. He utilized a television screen on the wall to highlight a takedown technique utilized by a NCAA champion. We drilled takedowns repeatedly which is necessary to create muscle memory. Moreover the wrestling classes utilized MMA techniques once the the takedown was secured, adding to the real world relevance. Coach Jordan’s BJJ classes were also excellent and I really appreciated the situational-live rolls as they allow students to become more comfortable in uncomfortable situations… To sum it up, the gym offers a multitude of classes in different disciplines
I’m originally from Marianna and have trained at Zicro in Tallahassee many years ago before moving away. My wife and I were in town visiting and I decided it would be good to stop in and get some rolls. After signing the waiver, Kyle was more than happy to let me train with them. They were all very welcoming and open to teaching an “out of towner.” Kyle was teaching wrestling, my fist love, and some no-gi stuff. I learned a lot and the rolls were pretty tough. If I still lived around Marianna, Zicro is definitely the place where I would train. The people a friendly and the BJJ is solid. Thanks again guys! I hope to see you all again soon and wish you the best!
I'm a four stripe purple belt. I stopped in to train no-gi with Professor Jordan and his team today and I gotta say I am incredibly impressed! It only took one class for me and now I am officially a member of the team! If you're looking for a Jiu-Jitsu family to develop lifelong skills this is 100% the place for you! Thank you professor Jordan for all you do for your Jiu-Jitsu family as well as the entire community
My boyfriend just had his first class here and absolutely loved it! The environment was super welcoming, and you can tell the instructors genuinely care about creating a positive experience for everyone—whether you're a beginner or more advanced. The energy in the gym was great, and it’s clear they prioritize both skill development and community. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get into jiu-jitsu or take their training to the next level!
I have been looking for self defense classes for my kids and came across Zicro. They offer a week long trial to attend their classes and see if it’s a good fit. The environment has been warm and welcoming. All of the instructors have been great with the kids and remembered their names. They are inclusive and teach the kids well. My children love it and we definitely plan on making this a part of our regular routine. Highly recommend.
I’ve done a few drop in classes here visiting family in town. I can only speak towards the BJJ/grappling at this gym, but I can say that this gym would be considered high quality instruction even in a very large city. All the instructors are legit and they create an extremely welcoming environment for newcomers with and without experience. I highly recommend checking this place out!
