I did my free first day pass a few days ago, and I absolutely loved it. I’ve never done any type of martial arts before, but I tried out their Muay Thai and Ju Jitsu classes for my free first day and I had a great time. All the coaches that I met were so kind and seemed genuinely passionate about teaching their class and helping you learn. The way they set up classes is very whatever-level-you’re-at friendly, like as a beginner I walked away from both classes feeling like I learned a lot, and I also saw way more advanced people working on skills and getting better in the same class. And all the people I spoke to who were also taking the classes were super friendly as well, it was a great environment to learn. I’m excited to go back, an if you’re thinking of learning any fighting or self defense, this is the place to go!
Joined 9 years ago, wrote a review then and editing it now because when I signed up the gym was on Gaines Street, which was small, dark and hot, but now it's on Apalachee in a much bigger, cooler, and constantly evolving and positive space that has been one of the best martial arts gyms in North Florida. Kickboxing classes give everyone a chance to learn the BANG system and work towards a belt without ever having to fight. Jiu-Jitsu is great for self defense. The Fight Team is grown is excellent for competitive fighters. Also has a great fitness program, with workouts generated by a physical therapist. The gym is clean and is dog friendly. (Still holds true from 8 yrs ago) What I like most about this place is how EVERYONE is encouraging and welcoming. I'm not a hard core fighter and I highly doubt that I'll ever compete, but I enjoy learning and using the skills I was taught (because they could come in handy if I ever needed to defend m
This establishment has an amazing atmosphere! the staff is friendly and welcoming (especially the gym puppers Morty and Ina) and the prices are fair especially for kids classes! My son has been going here about 4 days a week almost a year and he absolutely loves it! They have really fun open houses with marine life touch tanks, and bouncy houses, and cook outs for belt tests! They also have Combat nights! Very family friendly and the instructors are knowledgeable and nice!
I was In Tallahassee for a couple of weeks for work, I wanted to get some training in while I was out of town so I hit the ol Google search. Right away the Bang Muay Thai program caught my eye at TFW. Plus the pictures of the gym looked awesome so I stopped in to give it a try. Right away, I was greeted with hospitality and information on all their programs. Followed by a Coach Sky letting me take three classes in a row for free because the first day is free, which is awesome. If you live in the Tallahassee area, I highly recommend this school for all levels. Great place to get in shape and learn some self-defense and/or take it to the next level and compete in one or more of the disciplines that the school offers.🖐🏼⭐️s
This is a great place to train! I stopped in for a couple classes last night. The facility is very spacious and has a full cage, several punching bags, and lots of mat space and workout equipment. The instructors were patient and worked closely with me and the other students to help us understand the drills and techniques. I also had some solid training partners that didn't bring any ego into class. Overall, this was a great experience! I definitely recommend this place!
Yes, my experience was great. I had lots of fun. The students were more than welcoming in the teachers and coaches were even better. They were more inviting than I ever thought they would be for a first time, and I had a great learning experience, and felt like I could progress with the class as I went, I felt very welcomed if I could take a second day (free) I definitely would. But that’s not saying it’s worth it cuz to me IT DEFINITELY IS. I definitely suggest trying it out. First ever gym like this and I think if I was to have a membership at one of these MMA gyms I’ll never go to a different one, first and best HERE. Thank You.
