We have had a great experience with Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Vista so far, from the very first phone call to our first trial class. Instructor Locksley was very helpful in getting our classes started going above and beyond. He is very patient with the kids and makes sure each and every kid engages and feels comfortable in the class without pressuring the kids. It’s a perfect combo of teaching life skills, learning Jiu Jitsu, and making it fun. All of the instructors are very patient and have great charisma to work with kids. It is a very welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Gracie Jiu Jitsu Vista!

Instructor Locksley offers a great friendly community that is respectful and all eager to enhance themselves. The Coach's and instructors are all subject matter experts that are dedicated and committed in teaching excellence and mold students to emulate the same. If you want to be street ready and be able to defend yourself effectively Gracie Jiu-jitsu Vista is the place for you! Had a blast with my time and will always highly recommend this CTC.
I’ve always been interested in trying Jiu Jitsu. Having moved into town a few months ago I kept noticing the Gracie Jiu Jitsu sign on Vista Way. I was already familiar with the Gracie family/brand so I knew I had nothing to lose. I decided to come in and it was a great decision. I love how classes are structured and everyone is super friendly. Techniques are taught in a safe way. Locksley is a fantastic instructor who does a great job explaining techniques. He’s very thorough and always open for questions or better ways of doing things. My daughter comes in as well and she’s been loving the kids classes. This week in class she learned more about respect and got to participate in Gracie Game Day which was a blast.
We love Gracie Jiu Jitsu in Vista! When we were looking for Jiu Jitsu training for our boys, we felt overwhelmed by the many options available. We somehow came across this academy and haven’t looked back since. It all started with a phone conversation with the owner, Locksley, who was incredibly friendly and flexible with our requests. Our boys absolutely loved their first session, and we’ve been here ever since. It’s a fun, welcoming environment for kids that emphasizes consistent Jiu Jitsu training and discipline, which we truly appreciate. We can’t recommend this place enough!
Been going for to this location for about a month now, I can honestly say this was a great decision. I started out with the 10 day free trial, which I believe was super beneficial, you get to meet the coach, and get a feel for the environment. Upon meeting Coach Locksley, you already get a sense of dedication he has for coaching and training. He is very involved with his students and super professional. He has tremendous knowledge and gives training a sense of fun, this is a big plus, having fun while learning a new move is encouraging because you feel like you are accomplishing what is being taught. The classes are real fun to attend and my fellow students are also great to work with. I enjoy coming to this location and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of taking Jiu Jitsu classes. You would not be disappointed.
I only have 2 weeks training in this facility and I can honestly say it is the best choice I made. In the very few classes I have attended so far, I have learned a lot. Everyone is so friendly and respectful to one another, which makes the environment even better to train and want to succeed. As a new student with no previous training, I felt a bit unsure if I would be fit to learn this style of self defense. After getting to meet some of the other students, I felt welcomed and encouraged to stay. The instructor Locksley is an amazing teacher, he really makes sure everyone is learning, engaged with the class lesson, and overall having fun through the process. Since my very first encounter with Locksley, he has been very supportive and attentive that I don’t miss a class and fall behind. I really enjoy his method of teaching and willingness to help each and everyone of his students.
