My kids have been at Cobrinha Redondo Beach for almost 5 months and they love it! From the moment you step in the door, you can feel how welcoming everyone is, from the front desk to the coaches to the students. Everyone is treated like family. When my kids started there, they had no experience but the coaches were very patient with them, as they are with all the kids. What I love the most is that they don’t force the kids to do anything. They allow the kids to do things at their own pace and as they become more and more comfortable with being on the mats. They also make things fun for them while continuing to teach the fundamentals of jiu jitsu in such a creative way. If you or your child are thinking about trying jiu jitsu, this is the place to be!
Five Stars for Cobrinha BJJ Redondo Beach! I had the absolute pleasure of dropping in for a Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals class at Cobrinha BJJ Redondo Beach, and it was nothing short of fantastic. Coach Mike led the session with enthusiasm and expertise, making it incredibly enjoyable for me regardless of my lack of experience. The atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and the variety of people I met during my visit reflected the inclusive and warm vibe. Everyone here has impressive Jiu-Jitsu skills but they are also a supportive community. The academy boasts several areas, including the spacious main mat area, a cozy lounge, a well-organized front desk, and convenient storage with a cubby area. The cleanliness and comfort of the facility enhance the overall training experience. If you're seeking a place to learn, grow, and belong, this is it!
The best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy around! Somewhere I love to be, every time I step onto the mats I grow there. The instructors/coaches are great, have patience and work well with all of there students. They have the best kids program in all of the South Bay. The adults classes are by far the best I have had out of anywhere I have trained BJJ. They focus on technique, and mastering the fundamentals. Building a solid foundation of Jiu Jitsu for anyone at any fitness level. Focusing on improving, rather than proving. Highly recommend to anyone looking to start there journey in BJ
Cobrinha Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Redondo is located right off of Manhattan Beach Blvd inside a small plaza center, cannot miss it! There are many Jiu Jitsu schools around, Cobrinha Jiu Jitsu has an incredible group of instructors, Brian, Mike and William. The adult+children classes are spaced out appropriately where as some other local schools mix a fourteen (14) year old with a twenty one (21) year old. I would highly recommend this school because you're not having to worry about ego's and the accidents that usually follow that type of environment, all instructor's are patient and well put together as practitioners!
We joined Cobrinha RB approximately 2 years ago. Since joining, my son has gained confidence and learned to accept and embrace hard work, wins and losses. All the kids on the mat are welcoming and supportive alongside Professor Brian and Coach Mike (and even extends to their family). This gym is incredible, constantly giving a family and team vibe and no one is left behind, ever. I also love how approachable, open minded and understanding these leaders are. Best decision we have ever made as parents. Would highly recommend joining this gym and family for any skill level student.
My kids train under Professor Brian, Professor Jalen and Coach Mike. Amazing gym, great bunch of coaches and has a proven program producing multiple IBJJF Pan champions and ADCC champions year after year. Gym is clean, organized and well managed. Family friendly atmosphere for kids, teens and adults at all levels. High recommended!
