My daughter absolutely loves her jiu-jitsu class at Ethos Jiu-Jitsu! She attends the kids' class at 5 pm, and it's been such a fantastic experience. The instructors, Jerardo and Brett, are truly exceptional. They are incredibly thorough and attentive with all the kids, and as a parent, I really appreciate how they prioritize safety. What I also value is that they aren't "soft" instructors – they genuinely want the kids to learn and progress, which is exactly what I was looking for. If you're looking for a great jiu-jitsu program for your child, I wholeheartedly recommend Ethos Jiu-Jitsu!
I’ve been training with Brett and Jerardo for nearly two decades. These guys embrace a love for jiu jitsu and provide a wealth of knowledge only gained from years of experience. If you’re nervous to start jiu jitsu, Ethos South Bay provides an accepting atmosphere no matter your age or experience level. Brett’s systematic approach to Jiu Jitsu helps students build strong fundamental techniques and a holistic game plan for winning in competition. Jerardo teaches in a very detailed, tactile, and visual manner and breaks down movements into smaller details that help students visualize what to do with their bodies. If you’re nervous for your kid to start jiu-jitsu, Brett and Jerardo have years of experience teaching children. They are patient and effective communicators who prioritize safety in every situation. They care about everyone that walks in. I highly recommend that you try out a class at Ethos South Bay if you’re in the area.
As an avid practitioner of jiujitsu, there is no other team of instructors and friends I’d recommend more than Ethos. With the amazing environment they have created in Orange County, I have no doubt South Bay will strive for strong family values, professionalism and efficient practice for all levels. I have worked, trained and laughed with Jerardo Linares and several others at Ethos for the last 5 years and I have great pride in being associated with the Ethos family. For beginners, experienced athletes or newcomers to fitness, the knowledge presented to you is vast and plentiful. Amazing coaches! When I was new to Jiu Jitsu I was very scared that I wouldn’t be able to get the hang of how to practice but I made friends very easily that encouraged me and included me which made me a better classmate the mat is very clean well maintained. I told some of my friends to come here and they had an even better experience then me, the coaches Brett and Jerardo are the best of the best and really helped me learn and understand how to defend my self so it scored 5/5 stars for me!!!
I had the privilege to attend the grand opening of Ethos Jiu jitsu South Bay and I have to say the set up is amazing, not only is the mat space GREAT but the instructors are definitely on point with the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle. Professors Jerry and Brett are highly knowledgeable and bring tons of experience that they share with all the students. I would definitely recommend Ethos Jiu Jitsu South Bay to everyone from children to adults. Check them out you will not regret it!!!!
Amazing Jiu Jitsu gym with a great space and open layout. The coaches are very experienced with Black Belt instructors for the kids and adult classes. They have Lunch time classes for adults at 12PM as well as evening classes at 6PM for adults, Beginner friendly environment.
