Triune Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense reviews

Rated 5.0/5 across 20 Google reviews.

Triune Jiu-Jitsu and Self Defense is an amazing gym with a welcoming community and great instructors. The classes are well-structured and cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced students. I especially recommend the Saturday Self Defense class — it’s a great blend of basic stand-up skills and foundational BJJ concepts that are practical for real-life situations. Coach Greg leads the class and does a fantastic job making everyone feel comfortable while learning effective techniques. There are also classes throughout the week to fit any schedule. I’ve been attending the Tuesday and Thursday evening gi classes, which feature excellent instruction from Coach Josh and Head Instructor Stan (and honestly, every coach here is top-notch). If you’re looking for a fun, safe, and supportive environment to learn jiu-jitsu and self-defense, look no further than Triune.
I had tried a few classes in the past, but due to medical issues I did not stick with it. After having two close family members pass away and hitting some very low points I came into the dojo and began training. Jiu Jitsu has helped me manage my emotions and provided much needed perspective in how I approach my life. Furthermore, I'm sure things are different gym to gym, but the culture here is very supportive in that everyone is here to learn. Leave your ego at the door, you are here to learn. I love my coaches and the atmosphere that they provide. Everyone is very friendly and easy going and I'm beyond grateful to be able to associate with all the folks here at the gym, and everything that this gym and jiu jitsu has given me already in such a short time. If your new to BJJ or scared to train, just know you're in good hands here especially with the fundamentals classes. Just come with the intent to learn and be a good student and you'l
I signed my son up at Triune Jiu Jitsu two years ago, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The community here is truly something special—welcoming, supportive, and passionate about helping everyone grow, both on and off the mat. It’s not just a gym, it’s a family. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and great with kids. They’ve helped my son build confidence, discipline, and resilience. What’s even better is that it’s not just for kids—Triune is great for the whole family. Whether you’re looking for fitness, self-defense, or just a positive environment to be part of, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

My 7-year-old son has been learning Jiu-Jitsu here for about a year now, and we’ve had a wonderful experience. The coaches are kind, respectful, and really care about the kids. They create a friendly and supportive environment, and make sure everyone in the group feels included. If you’re thinking about starting your child in Jiu-Jitsu, I highly recommend giving this place a try. The whole team is great! Love this group.
I have been training at Triune for a year and half. This is the place to learn Jiu Jitsu if you wanna win competitions while also be effective in self-defense. It emphasize on solid proven fundaments. The main coach Josh has won many high profile grappling matches and was a pro fighter. People here are humble and knowledgeable. Good vibes. Also price wise best deal in town.
