I signed up for a Muay Thai class with Coach Diego and have to say it’s the most amazing class ever. He is passionate and patient with new learners. I’ve improved a lot of movements since joining his Muay Thai class. He also provides group classes and private classes. His technique is precise and easy to learn step by step. You feel welcome in the groups and everyone is friendly in the class. His class makes you feel like you don’t want to skip, always look forward to the next sessions.
If you want to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from the world class expert – you’re in the right place. I’ve known Diego for about 7-8 years. I consider myself of being a lucky man because I’ve got such a knowledgeable, experienced, smart and technical Coach. And he is a very nice and kind guy as well. Teammates are friendly and there is a pleasant vibe there overall. To make long story short, it is the fun and tough sport that we love. And Diego is helping us to improve and enjoy this long (hopefully life-time) journey called Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!
I have trained under Diego for a little over 5 years and I recommend anyone reading this come in and try a class. Their are levels to jiu jitsu and Diego Herzog is at the top in both his own competition career as well as coaching his competition team. If you want to compete or just want to train casually this is the spot. We are a family and would be happy to have you on our team. Children, teens and adults both gi and no gi.
I cannot recommend this gym enough. Diego Herzog's passion for the sport is contagious and he exudes mastery in skill and instruction. I brought my daughter here 5 months ago and in that time I've seen her grow as a grappler and as a person. She has caught the bug and if we weren't moving, I'd have her in this gym for as long as possible. I also joined for about a month but got a minor foot injury and wimped out, but in that time I felt nothing but welcomed and encouraged. This is not one of those places that teaches your kids to yell in unison. This is not one of those places that hands out belts. This is a gym of real Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is ran and attended by people who love the sport. Very sad I have to move, it will be hard to find a place as awesome as this.
Diego Herzog is a great professor and person! It can be intimidating training BJJ as a woman since it’s generally a male dominated sport but I’ve been training for years now under Diego and I wouldn’t have it any other way, I always feel comfortable and empowered after every class!! Come train with us, it’s a great community, amazing workout and you’ll not learn self defense but the best of all martial arts !
Totally recommend Silicon Valley BJJ Club Academy. Diego is very technical, detail oriented and he tends to go above and beyond if necessary to make you understand a move or technique. Also, on top of that the vibe is awesome with a truly great community feeling between everybody. Inspiring place in so many ways!! Worth checking out!! Diego is one of the best Jiu Jitsu athletes out there, definitely the best place around!
