I've been training here for over 2 years, and I could not be happier to have found this place! Top notch Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Muay Thai instruction. They offer a variety of training for all skill levels, and you will receive UFC level training with elite instructors. The perfect place for the beginner, the amateur, and the pro. A friendly environment for all ages, Not just a great place to train but to be a part of a family. You will not find a more welcoming gym. I have been going to Triunfo MMA for over two years now and it has changed my whole lifestyle. For the warriors and athletes that train here, these are the nicest people I've ever met. The instruction is top notch for BJJ, Judo, wrestling, muay thai, MMA and a little bit of everything else like karate or taekwando. Felipe Fogolin is the fastest bjj black belt under Cleber Luciano, a judo black belt and a multiple time world champion and current world champion in bjj as well as well as a wonderful teacher. Tyler Wombles is a black belt in muay thai under Rafael Cordeiro and Babalu and currently trains many world class professional and amateur MMA fighters and kickboxers like Raymond Daniels, Tony Ferguson, Mark Munoz and has trained with some of the best. I've been training at Triunfo for about 2 months and Brazilian jiu-jitsu for roughly 6 years. I moved back to the West Coast after about a decade away and was looking for a gym to train at while I found a job. Long story short, ended up not staying in the OC but the team at Triunfo was mad flexible in helping me find a situation that worked in the interim. The instruction is excellent - Felipe is a gem of a person and an extremely technical instructor. The training partners are tough but also kind, great class schedule (am + pm), and its affordable. Plus, when they go the extra mile to figure out what works, it's hard not to appreciate them. I'm definitely going to miss training at Triunfo once I move but I'll be sure to come down for open mats!
This gym is amazing! Exceptional instruction, tough rolls and great vibes! Not to mention the mats and gym are beautiful and spotless. I dropped in on a Sunday morning class and there were 8+ black belts on the mat including the owner Felipe. I had tough rolls with everyone there and nobody was ripping subs or being crazy. Felipe didn’t teach the class that day but was available to answer all my questions which he gladly did with ease. I also picked the brains of the other black belts and was amazed at how much knowledge was on the mat that day. I’m a smaller player and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of higher belts around my size as well. 5 stars, sick gym, amazing instruction. If I lived here I’d be training with these folks every day. Thanks for letting me train, Felipe! Blz!
This review is overdue - I dropped in from out of town a month ago, and I will say, that Triunfo MMA is more than just a martial arts academy—it's a vibrant community where passion, discipline, and camaraderie come together to create a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped into the gym, I was welcomed with a positive energy that was both motivating and inspiring. Professor Felipe Fogolin is top-notch - you can tell that he is deeply committed to his craft and his students. Professor Felipe Fogolin's expertise spans various disciplines, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, and MMA, (though, I was only there for BJJ) they offer a comprehensive range of training options for both beginners and seasoned fighters. Honestly, I can not say enough good things about this place. If you're ever in the area, you should definitely stop by for a class. You won't be disappointed! I will definitely be back next
This place is legit. They keep it very clean!!!! Which is extremely rare at other places. You may be lucky enough to catch Jeremy Jackson train there too. This place has got to be the pound for pound place in town hands down! I won’t bash any other gyms but there is something special going on here and you are never too old to start BJJ. It’s an amazing adrenaline rush and you will burn calories unlike any other exercise due to the thrill and NOT stopping! Much love to the team and for taking such detail in your gym. I’ll say it again because I’ve known people who stopped training at other gyms due to the cleanliness, this place will give you peace of mind so you can concentrate on your life!
