I had the privilege of training at this BJJ gym for 5 months before I relocated, and I can't say enough positive things about my experience. Marcos Yunes, an instructor with a solid background from Ralph Gracie, leads the classes. One of the standout features of this gym is the well-balanced mix of gi and no-gi classes, catering to a variety of preferences. They offer beginner-focused classes where fundamental techniques are emphasized, as well as a competition focused class on Wednesdays. There isn’t an excessive amount of time spent on warm-ups which I really appreciate. Finding parking is easy which was the reason I initially chose this gym. What I appreciated most was the inclusive atmosphere with a diverse group of practitioners, including white belts and upper belts. Marcos adapts the class content to the attendees and their skill levels, ensuring that everyone gets valuable training. Marcos also takes extra care with new beginner
I love this gym, but don't come to it unmotivated because you got to have the will to endure the hard cardio and if you're a beginner - the learning curve. But if you can stick with it you are in the best hands, all of the trainers here are excellent, they have the time and energy to make you your best and I deeply appreciate every class I have had at FNF. I have traveled all over Europe and trained, and I really believe they give the best instruction, most of all the friendly feel of FNF makes it home to me.
Hands down the best Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu gym in the city. Knowledgable instructors, talented gym members, and classes for all skill levels. Whether you’re a complete novice looking to try out martial arts or an experienced fighter, Rise is the place to be. Also love the sense of camaraderie at this gym, feels like a family and going in to train is the best part of my day.
Best gym for Muay Thai in SF imo. The fight team has a solid stack of savages if you want to compete and really push yourself. But at the same time everyone's friendly and welcoming. Coaching vibe is friendly, chill, no-ego and they let everyone can go at their own pace. Def recommend regardless of skill level. Good mix of beginners & experienced classes.
Hardy gym with real fighters and training. Trainers have an experienced eye with things. I was pulled aside individually and told all of my flaws in stance etc. this shocked me because it was very generous and also it showed they care, this is as someone who drops in every few months so for that I give five stars
Excellent beginner friendly classes. Coaches attitude is top notch, these guys really know their art
