My kids and I have been training at Primal Grounds Jiu Jitsu for about 7 months, and it has been an incredible experience. My 7-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter are enrolled in the kids’ classes, and they absolutely love it. I’ve seen their confidence grow tremendously, thanks to the supportive and attentive coaches. The instructors are patient and create a fun, encouraging environment that allows the kids to feel comfortable and learn quickly. The gym fosters a warm, family-oriented atmosphere where everyone is welcoming and supportive. I began my Jiu Jitsu journey at 35, and my only regret is not starting sooner. The quality of coaching, sense of community, and overall experience have been outstanding. I highly recommend Primal Grounds Jiu Jitsu to anyone, regardless of age or skill level, who is looking to build confidence, learn a valuable skill, and be part of a great community.
This place is great! My child has been attending the kids class for about a month and a half now. My child had not taken any marital arts or other sports lessons prior to taking classes at Primal Grounds, so this has been a completely new experience. My child is really enjoying the classes and is already building skills which speaks to the expertise and patience of the coaches! The kids classes offer a ton of support and hands on training, and the coaches are all great with the kids. You can tell they put a lot of thought into what and how they want to teach and they have a ton of experience. The pace and structure of the lessons helps to ensure all the kids have a great time and learn. As a parent you really can't ask for more! I highly recommend Primal Grounds for kids BJJ classes.
Primal Grounds Jiu Jitsu has been such a positive experience for my family. The coaches are patient, kind, and great with kids, teaching strong values and positive discipline in a supportive way. My children feel encouraged and confident every time they train. The gym is beautiful and welcoming, with a warm environment that makes everyone feel comfortable. As a woman and beginner, I felt empowered and supported. The instructors took the time to explain techniques and made learning feel approachable. I highly recommend Primal Grounds Jiu Jitsu to families, kids, beginners, and anyone looking for a positive place to train.
If you’ve been thinking about trying bjj, try it here! I came from a different gym and was still very nervous my first time at Primal but that faded fast! For being a badass group of people that could whoop your a**, they are soooo incredibly kind and welcoming. Signing up was easily no frills. Sign up includes a fee but comes with a gift in exchange, a no-gi set of shorts and rashguard. Gyms are not easy to manage and I will happily support this one. These folks know what they are doing and I love all the different paced classes available. They seem receptive to feedback and constantly maintain the schedule for times with more or less turnout. I was extremely relieved to see a good little group of ladies training. Even if you do roll with the opposite sex, the coach is going to pair you up appropriately so that you’re still receiving optimal training for your body. Everyone has to fight or grapple a little differently per our bodies an
My boys been coming to Primal for about 3-4 months now. It's been amazing to watch how the coach’s are attentive to each kid no matter their experience. They welcome everyone (adults and kids) with open arms. These coach’s have everyone’s best interest at heart, they love this sport and only want to share their knowledge with each of you. I have seen my son grow not only in jiu-jitsu but also as a young man. He’s gain so much confidence. The kids class is growing from when we first started, so spread the word and bring your kids down to train 👊🏼🤙🏼
I cannot recommend Primal Grounds enough, I literally tell everyone about how awesome it is! I was referred to this Jiu Jitsu gym because my five year old son was struggling with the transition to school because he is so hyper. We tried multiple sports and this is the first time he’s participated and connected with coaches. The kids classes are 4 days a week and my son wants to go everyday, he has so much fun. The coaches are very patient and kind and very knowledgeable. You can tell they care about anyone who walks into the gym. The gym setting is also very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Just an overall good vibe. I even want to try a class soon! The membership is also very affordable!
