I can't say enough good things about Kaizen Jiu Jitsu! From the moment I walked through the door, I was impressed by the atmosphere. The facility is not only immaculate but also incredibly well-designed, with plenty of space for rolling, practicing techniques, and even a small lounge area to hang out after class. It’s clear they take pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The coaching here is top-notch. The instructor is not only highly skilled but also incredibly approachable and passionate about teaching. He does an amazing job of breaking down complex techniques into digestible steps, making them accessible to both beginners and more advanced students. Whether you’re learning your first armbar or refining your guard passes, the level of instruction is second to none. What really sets Kaizen apart, though, is the community. The training partners are friendly, respectful, and always willing to help each other improve.
Beautiful Training Facility with World-Class Instruction This is a top-tier Jiu-Jitsu academy. The facility is clean, modern, and spacious, with plenty of mat space, well-equipped changing rooms, and private training areas that make every visit comfortable and professional. Coach Gibran is a respected and experienced figure in the Sacramento Jiu-Jitsu community. He’s the founder of other successful gyms in the area and continues to raise the bar with his teaching. His years of knowledge and technical skill are matched only by his commitment to building a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. Whether you're brand new or a seasoned practitioner, you'll feel right at home here.
recently attended an open‑mat session at Kaizen Jiu Jitsu in Sacramento and had a fantastic experience. Even though open mats are usually unstructured, the coach took the time to offer valuable instruction and guidance. The academy’s philosophy of steady, continuous improvement really comes through; they aim to build skill and confidence through focused training and emphasize techniques that work in real‑world situations. The atmosphere was welcoming to visitors—everyone treated me with respect and the coach made sure we trained hard but safely. If you’re in Sacramento and looking for a no‑gi gym where you can get quality feedback even during open‑mat sessions, Kaizen Jiu Jitsu is a great choice.
I enrolled my child at Kaizen Jiu Jitsu in Sacramento, and the experience has exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Coach Gibran exhibits exceptional expertise in No Gi Jiu Jitsu, self-defense techniques, and elements of MMA, offering instruction that is both precise and tailored to varying skill levels, including young learners. The facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization, providing a spacious and respectful environment conducive to focused training. The academy's commitment to continuous improvement resonates well with its inclusive community, making it an excellent choice for children and adolescents seeking quality martial arts education. I strongly recommend Kaizen Jiu Jitsu for parents looking to foster discipline, confidence, and physical fitness in their children.
Kaizen Jiu Jitsu is a very special training facility. I’ve been to other fight gyms and this one is definitely in its own tier. The patience and understanding Gibran really embodies is that of which a true coach should have. Not only is everything explained and shown thoroughly but through his energy the rest of the athletes pick up on the positive culture and support that is needed for everyone in the gym to grow and thrive. There is no toxic or aggressive energy and no matter who you are you can fit in, whether you’re just figuring out what grappling is or you’ve been in the game for quite some time and you’re a legitimate practitioner. Something different is being built around Kaizen and I’m excited to be a part of it. If you’ve been considering beginning to train this is absolutely the place to start. The community here is unparalleled and is evolving into something great!
I am a black belt currently on a work assignment in Sacramento CA and I stopped in to Kaizen Jiu jitsu and the instructor Gibran was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about techniques, trends and training goals in the modern jiu jitsu game. His students are technical and respectful and I had a great time training in this extremely beautiful school with the most amazing private changing rooms. The school also has spacious, clean bathrooms and comfortable waiting areas. Highly recommended !!!!!
