Ares BJJ Turlock is an incredible place to train, offering a welcoming and well-maintained environment. The gym fosters a strong sense of community where everyone supports each other’s growth, both on and off the mats. Classes are led by Thiago, a very skilled black belt who not only teaches essential techniques but also emphasizes valuable life lessons. It’s a place where training goes beyond physical skills, inspiring discipline, confidence, and personal growth in a positive and team-focused atmosphere.
Very welcoming to all levels, whether you’re a beginner, or looking to compete. The instructor, Thiago, is very friendly to everyone who enters the gym. He’s also a very knowledgeable black belt. I’ve been training here for over a year and I recommend to anyone interested in jiu jitsu.
Ares BJJ Turlock is a welcoming environment for anyone interested in learning jiu jitsu. Black belt instructor, Thiago Ricci, is an accomplished Master who ensures you are advancing at your own pace while sparring with the right students. Within 3 months I was trimmed down and in the best shape of my life. I even entered a tournament and placed second within a year of joining. For $149/month, it’s well worth it.
This gym is awesome! The people are super friendly and welcoming. I started as the only girl, but everyone was so nice and respectful. Professor Thiago is the best! He goes over and beyond to help you and answer questions. He explains every little detail of the technique. I’m so glad I’m part of Ares BJJ Turlock. When I started I was just looking to learn self defense and now I gained a family.
Prof. Thiago at Ares BJJ Turlock is an outstanding instructor who takes the time and effort to make sure each of his students develops to their fullest potential. I really enjoy the classes here they are well-paced and the group is always a lot of fun. Ares BJJ Turlock has a great atmosphere and is creating some really skilled competitors.
