JG Academy is an exceptional Jiu-Jitsu gym that offers a strong sense of community. I’ve been training for a few years and when it came time to find a new gym, I came here and couldn't be more grateful. From the moment my family and I walked in, we were welcomed by both the coaches and the members. The environment is positive, the facility is clean, there is a perfect balance of friendly camaraderie with a serious dedication to Jiu-Jitsu. The instructors, on top of being competitors themselves are top-notch with years of experience — they are skilled and take the time to explain the technique in detail, making sure students of all levels can understand and apply them effectively. JG academy feels like a family where we all encourage each other to be our best. If you're looking for a place to train, whether you're interested in learning self-defense, getting in better shape, or competing in tournaments, this is the place for you!
We have been actively involved in the Jiu-Jitsu community for the past eight years. Our children, ages 13, 9, 8, and 6, have been training in the art since they were each 5 years old. When it came time to find a new academy, we explored several options in the area but were left unsatisfied with the level of instruction provided. A friend recommended JG academy - Aspire to Inspire, we attended our first class and immediately recognized the exceptional quality of coaching and instruction. The academy caters to individuals of all ages and skill levels, providing a supportive environment for both children and adults to learn and grow. Professor Marcos and coaches Diana, Gabriela, and Kody are highly knowledgeable and dedicated professionals who ensure that each student comprehends the techniques before progressing to the next level. Congrats to the JG team for this incredible space. Beyond the sparkle of the brand new… essentially everything, the coaches here is where this place really shines. As a coach myself, if I had to recommend to someone looking to start training, picking a school is the biggest choices you’ll make. But how you do that is to focus on the coaches and focus on how passionate they are about their field. Both Domingo and Marco live Jiu Jitsu. From competition experience, to running other schools, including running tournaments, and ultimately growing the next generation of martial artists. Also the JG team is massive beyond just this location so you’ll have access to deep knowledge and experience, mine included. Come by and check them out while it’s still early. One of the benefits of a new gym is as they grow the first batch of students get an insane amount of attention. Take advantage!
5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Even though my son trains at Charles Gracie, JG Academy has welcomed him with open arms every Sunday for training. The coaches and athletes have worked with him, taught him so many new techniques, and helped him grow. The environment is incredible—welcoming, knowledgeable instructors, top-level fighters, and a clean, well-maintained facility. They truly know what they’re doing, and it shows in the way they train. If you’re looking for a great place to train, I highly recommend JG Academy!
Very clean and beautiful facility. The instructors are very experienced and are dedicated to making their students better everyday. This is a great place for a beginner and or advanced students to start. Kids, teens and adults will all be welcomed into the Aspire To Inspire X JG Family with open arms. We joined the ATI X JG Family a couple years back when we moved to this area and it was one of the best decisions we made! If you are in the Modesto area drop in and give the free trial a try.
