I’ve been training at this school over 3 years now and I really enjoy it. They have classes for the entire family, kids, teens adults, and paren & child. They also have a women’s only program taught by a female instructor. In addition to jiu-jitsu classes, they offer conditioning classes and a competition class. They host workshops and self defense classes. Not to mention all the fun activities they host for the kids all year round. I also recommend taking private or semi private lessons with their experienced professors to improve your skills. Since I started training here, I have gotten in great shape and have made a lot of friends. This is not just a school, it’s a tight knit family and community.
There are a lot of options for BJJ. But when one of the Gracie family, a national champion, is a Professor at your school, that means something. But even more importantly, when every Professor and the staff treats you like family, that means everything. The instruction is unmatched and the sense of belonging and being cared for makes the journey incomparable. Thinking about kids? The kids class taught by Professor Gabriel is incredible as he not only teaches BJJ, but also teaches core values, how to contribute to your family, and how to conduct yourself in school. When considering the costs, how much would you pay for yourself or loved ones to be able to descalate a potentially life changing traumatic event? What is a good cost for self protection? What is physical confidence, self confidence, perseverance, hard work, and self reward worth in dollars? Gracie RSM is worth whatever dollar you put on those!!
My kids were invited to Grace Barra on a buddy pass. We were greeted with smiles and welcomed in. The teachers demonstrated a beautiful balance of sternness and respect towards the kids, yet, also did a great job of showing their caring and gentle side towards them as well. To say that my kids enjoyed their class is an understatement. I enrolled my kids for the classes and they look forward to coming to class every time. I know this training will teach them respect, honor and discipline along with a level of self-defense. I look forward to seeing my kids grow with Gracie Barra Jujutsu training.
I wish they had more stars to give, 5 stars is not enough. My whole family has been going to GB RSM for about two years. The professors are amazing with the kids, they are stern but caring and are consistent with instilling discipline and camaradery. This is one of those places where you feel like family. Even as an adult you will find a second family here. Not to mention that Jiu Jitsu is the best thing you can do for your children, within a few months their confidence level skyrockets, their physical ability and coordination improves and I feel sorry for anyone who tries to bully them. Cannot recommend GB RSM enough. From time to time they have free two-week offers and I believe they are offering that right now in November.
For a long time I have been looking for a place where teachers talk to children with similar bases of what I have learned in positive discipline principles. I found it in the Gracie Barra RSM. I appreciate to see/hear how children are respected, encouraged, and supported by Masters and professors while still making them accountable of the rules they need to follow. They have a small talk during the class where topics about discipline, courage, team and friends values, etc. are shared with the class. My son is more than happy with his Jiu Jitsu class. I am more than happy with what I shared in the lines above. Oh! And all the staff is so friendly and helpful!
