My husband and I were looking into placing 4 of our children ages 5 & 7 yr. old boys, & 9 & 12 yr. old girls, into self defense classes. We looked into many schools and Dojos and this was the one! Immediately we were greeted by a young lady that was super friendly and knowledgeable about how everything ran. She gave us a tour. She also explained all the packages and deals when enrolling more than one family member. The deals were exceptional and we signed up for the Bully Proof program right on the spot. We just finished our free trial and extended our membership. Everything about this establishment is amazing from the core discipline, and positive engagement they have. They memorized our children’s names on the first day! Bobbi and Sam have this amazing energy and patience with these kids. They are able to keep the class well organized without any discouragement or chaos. The smiles of these kids faces when they enter and leave the mat
I originally came to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu because I wanted to learn women’s self-defense, and I decided to give Gracie University a try. I was introduced to their Women Empowered program, and it immediately stood out to me. The program is thoughtfully designed to teach women practical, real-world self-defense in a way that feels empowering, supportive, and confidence-building. Because of my experience in Women Empowered — and after getting to know the Gracie family and their approach — I also enrolled in the Combatives program. The environment is incredibly welcoming and respectful. Both women and men train together in a way that feels safe, encouraging, and professional. The Gracie family is clearly passionate and deeply dedicated to what they do, and that shows in every class they teach. The professors are highly experienced, approachable, and genuinely invested in their students’ progress. The academy itself is always clean, the mats are
It’s rare to find an activity that genuinely works for every person in a family, but our experience at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu has been truly wonderful and transformative for all of us! It’s become our family’s happy, supportive place. My wife completed the Women Empowered program and loved it. It's so much more than physical training; she gained real-world confidence and situational awareness. The techniques are taught safely, focusing on leverage over strength, making the skills effective and non-intimidating. She walked away feeling genuinely capable and secure. I completed the Gracie Combatives program, and it’s excellent for building a practical, street-ready foundation. The step-by-step curriculum made learning the 36 core techniques easy, eliminating the guesswork and the typical fear of getting started in martial arts. Our older son is highly dedicated to the Black Belt Club. This program pushes him to develop mastery, discipline, and
Zac and Rawann @ Gracie were super professional, friendly and communicative throughout our trial experience at Gracie. My daughter enjoyed her 1st trial class so much that as we were leaving the facility that she said that she wanted to come back regularly. As a parent, I loved the storytelling, encouragement and class engagement. To me, that’s super Tough to do in any setting with such a large group and diverse age range, but Zac and Rawann made it look so easy, fun & educational! When I called in after deciding to commit to classes at Gracie, Lou walked me through the process patiently, pleasantly and professionally. Just like the instructors, She was just as amazing, friendly, communicative, informative and professional. My daughter had a great first class, intro to Jiu Jitsu, to Gracie and walked away with more tools, a stronger body, healthier voice, autonomy for her self, her body most importantly comfort and confidence in her own
We started lessons in December, and the experience has been wonderful so far. My son genuinely looks forward to class each week, and I’ve already noticed a boost in his confidence. Like any child starting something new, he was a bit nervous during his first lesson because he didn’t know the other kids, but the instructors did an amazing job making sure he felt comfortable and included. They made sure he was able to practice all the moves and never felt left out, which really helped ease his nerves. The instructors are attentive, patient, and clearly care about each child’s progress. They pay close attention to all the kids and make sure everyone feels involved, regardless of skill level or experience. The environment is welcoming and supportive, which makes a big difference for kids who are new to the sport. I’m very excited for my son to continue his Jiu-Jitsu journey here. Not only is he learning technique and discipline, but he’s als
We recently enrolled both of our kids (ages 4 and 6) at Gracie University Jiu-Jitsu, and we’ve had a great experience so far . The school has a great setup and very organized, age-appropriate classes. The environment is friendly and welcoming. Zac, the instructor, made a great connection with both of our kids, and they quickly opened up to him, which made us feel confident in our decision. We were looking for a Jiu-Jitsu program that builds confidence, structure, and discipline, and this has been a great fit for our family.
