Well-rounded gym with talented coaches and awesome facility! When I first joined the gym, Brock Dias was working, and he was very welcoming and gave me a rundown of the gym policy. He's also a collegiate wrestler that teaches a really great, beginner-friendly wrestling class. Also, I checked out the cardio kickboxing and No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. All the instructors were super fun, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I've been to multiple gyms in Orange County and other parts of California. Team Oyama is by far my favorite gym. I would highly recommend this gym for anyone - beginner or advanced.

Im only going to speak on the kickboxing classes. I havent tried their sparring or grappling classes but This isnt your normal cardio class where you hit the bag a few times and go home. they will empty your tank, you will be fatigued and you will be punching and kicking the bag until your arms and legs fall off, your clothes will be drench with sweat every session. The sessions were amazing, They would empty my tank on the bag with a combination like a 1-2 or a specific kick over and over and we would move right back into pad work and back onto bags, completely working the whole body and mind. I’ve trained at multiple MMA gyms and I can confidently say these kickboxing classes are not for hobbyist, they will train you like you’re a professional kickboxer and striker going into a fight. I cant speak highly enough of how tough, rigorous, and intense the pad work and bag work here for the kixkboxing classes is.
Team Oyama style! Oh yeah!! Thank you team Oyama for such a great event. Ron and Marie hosted our Thai kickboxing class along with a group of fighters. Station one was my favorite except for the fact that I had a bruised shin from kicking the bag. Kicking with a shin and knee is much different from I was use to. In karate and taekwondo use the feet to kick so I had to learn a new style. Station 2 was a lot of fun. We did punches, jump squats, and crawls. I like the feeling of the training fighting mat area. Barefoot feels right where as wearing shoes at 24 hour fitness is so wrong. I was glad that my physical condition was better than I thought but I was much slower than most people around me but I was satisfied with my form. We were taught to pace ourselves but if I go again I want to push myself to the limit. Station 3 was outside of the ring where we performed high knee kicks and box jumps. This was tough after doing the previous sta
The head instructor Givanildo Santana is world class jiu jitsu practitioner whose won numerous titles including Pan Am Championship in 2005 (defeating world champ Damian Maia in the finals). Not only is Givanildo a world class practitioner, he is also a a great teacher who cares about each individual's development. I've really enjoyed training here. I highly recommend it.
Great vibe, friendly people. Mix of high level people to casual to beginners. All sorts of classes available, MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Wrestling, BJJ. Only reason it's not 5/5: No change rooms or water fountain. They sell bottles of water at the front. Can get changed in the washroom. Did a class with coach Gabriel on Friday evening cardio kickboxing class.
