RYSK BJJ has been an absolute game-changer for my family. We’ve been training here for about a year and a half—me, my wife, and all three of our kids (ages 5–11)—and it’s honestly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Professor Chico and Professor Eddie are incredible instructors who care about every student, no matter their age or experience level. Coach Natasha (a world champion!) and Coach Katelyn are both amazing with the kids and adults alike—patient, encouraging, and always pushing everyone to grow in the right way. I’ve trained in some form of martial arts for most of my life, and I can confidently say that Rysk is a standout Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) school. One of the things I appreciate most is the emphasis on protecting each other during training, which fosters a safe and respectful environment, especially in such a physically demanding discipline. We absolutely love RYSK Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! My son looks forward to every single class and has grown so much since starting. Professor Chico and the coaches do an incredible job balancing discipline with fun, and they really know how to connect with the kids. What I appreciate most is how carefully they teach the techniques, always making sure the kids are safe while still learning the right way. I’ve already noticed how much stronger and more confident my son has become, both on and off the mat. The games they play after training are such a great touch too. When I first began looking for BJJ Schools, I was mainly searching for a place where my kids could learn. I decided to sign up myself, hoping that by seeing me involved, it might spark their interest. To my surprise, I ended up loving it more than I expected. While other schools were pushy, with constant texts trying to pressure me into signing up, this school took a much more respectful approach. Professor Chico took 40 minutes out of his busy schedule to patiently explain everything I needed to know without any pressure, ensuring I felt comfortable and well-informed before making a decision. Professor Chico creates a welcoming and supportive learning environment for both beginners and experienced students. His passion for teaching is evident in everything he does. He is incredibly attentive to each student, skillfully adapting to their strengths and weaknesses. His emphasis on safety ensures that everyone feels secure during training.
We love Rysk Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu especially with my 5 yr old daughter. We started in January this year and I never thought my kids would absolutely love it. Professor Chico and the Coaches are amazing in teaching the kids. What I love the most is how they guide and hold onto the smaller kids when they do take downs so they don’t get hurt too much. I see the strength and confidence that my kids have acquired. Also they love the games in between training, it’s a genius idea so kids don’t get bored.
I drive 30-45 minutes to get to classes because Professor Chico and Coach Vinny are amazing. My 3 kids and I come her to train and spend time with our RYSK family. If you’re looking to train, build your own or your children’s confidence, have a great time learning, and / or just find out what this is all about…. Trust me, take the time to come out and visit us.
