My son has been going 2 times a week for a year now and we love how he has matured, and learned so much from the instructors. Classes are organized, gym is clean, instructors are friendly to parents and kids. It's a welcoming environment.Well run classes with the perfect balance of strict and fun for my son. He actually enjoys the discipline aspect and follows instructions unlike I've seen at home. At dynamic they don't just teach taekwando moves. They integrate real life scenarios. One class master Gwak explained and demonstrated to the kids how to carry themselves, how to walk with confidence to avoid bullying. He used an example of the animal kingdom how a predator chooses the weak and injured to prey on because it's the easiest meal. He demonstrated by walking super goofy while staring strait at the ground. It was beautifully presented and the kids loved it. First of all I wanna say thank you to Master Gwak, Instructor Oscar and Ace for their dedication of teaching Martial Arts and beyond. I have two kids age 6 and 8 who takes taekwondo lesson for more than a year. They enjoy going there because the instructors are attentive, friendly and helpful. The instructors does more than teaching martial arts, they also help all the kids building up their discipline level and confidence. The dojo itself is clean and comfortable for the kids to practice for parents to wait and watch the kids practicing. I think they offer 4 free trial lessons for new students, you have nothing to lose to give this dojo a try. I hope your kids will enjoy their lessons.
What can I say, It's the best Martial Arts Studio and community i've been a part of. Instructors - They have an amazing structure system that can help beginners from beginning to end. All the instructors speak the same language when it comes to teaching the lesson, it makes the next class easy to understand and feel the growth. Studio - Clean, maintained and up to date, especially safe, (Floor boards and walls soft enough for safe landing or in case wall bumps happen). Trial Periods - The generosity of coming more than 1 time is amazing, it gave me the time to get to know the instructors and staff and just get comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to learn self defense and have a great community on their side!
We have been going to Dynamic Martial Arts since 2019 and both our kids are now black belts - our son has even continued to pursue his 2nd degree. Master Kwak and his team have always taught our kids the importance of discipline and have allowed our kids to appreciate the seriousness of martial arts - all while feeling the love and support of a truly incredible team. We are so grateful to Master Kwak and all the other amazing instructors throughout the years: Oscar, Ace and now Mia - we have so many memories and our kids can execute and appreciate the artistic forms of Taekwondo while also learning to spar and actually protect themselves. We are excited to see the new renovations at Dynamic and know it will be a place of learning and development for many more kids to come!
We are so happy we found Dynamic Martial Arts in Irvine. From our very first visit/class, our family felt so welcome. Master Gwak and Instructor Matthew are great with students of all ages. Our daughter Rosemary loves going to Tae Kwon Do class and we can see how it has helped her in other ways. Her confidence and willingness to try new things and/or apply herself in school subjects is noticeable. Robert the teacher for the after school program is good with the kids as well. Our family highly recommends Dynamic Martial Arts in Irvine.
Absolutely amazing place! Both of my kids attend and we couldn’t be happier. The coaches are incredible—patient, professional, and truly know how to work with children. My daughter is very shy,she wouldn’t speak in front of strangers at all. Today, I watched her confidently call out numbers and perform her moves with such pride. I honestly couldn’t believe it! What I also love is how gentle and supportive the environment is. They take kids in so naturally—no harshness at all, just encouragement and care. As for my son, martial arts has quickly become his favorite sport. He can’t wait to go each week and is so excited to earn his next belt. Thank you to the whole team for helping my kids grow in confidence and skill!
