I have trained in BJJ at Team Santos off and on for 12 years now and would never train full time anywhere else. Jon Santos (owner and head instructor) has taught me discipline in the art of Jiu Jitsu, and life. He not only shows what works in competition, but also real life situations. One of my favorite things about Team Santos Jiu Jitsu is the family atmosphere. I have made many close friends from there and the level of respect shown by everyone there is unmatched. Best BJJ in the Bay Area, no question, and would recommend to anyone and everyone looking to learn martial arts, self defense, or just get in shape!! Thank you Team Santos! You have seriously changed my life for the better!
Team Santos BJJ is old school jiu-jitsu at it’s finest. This is the place to train at if you truly want to learn the art of BJJ. I’ve known Jon for 7 years and he’s the best jiu jitsu coach around. Super friendly gym with no hot heads so anyone can join. There’s also an awesome kids class so that the whole family can train together
We love Team Santos! Both of my sons absolutely love attending and are grateful for being so welcomed by them! …. Jon is an excellent instructor, very professional and works great with the kids! Not only do they teach the art of Brazilian jujitsu, they work to instill ethical and moral principles in the kids they instruct. Jon focuses on health and well-being, and really works hard to instill confidence in young students. The rates are also very reasonable and the ambience is extremely inviting. He has trained some of the very best who actively compete in tournaments, even several that fight professionally in MMA. His instructors are fantastic, patient and encouraging. They treat you like family and are very accommodating, even offering private lessons. We feel very fortunate and having found Team Santos and I look forward to watching my sons on this journey!
My son (7) has been training at Team Santos for over 2 years now. Coaches Jon and Taylor have created a great environment for learning and fun while also instilling discipline, hard work, and techniques that work in real world situations (in competition and self-defense). We had been to several other Jiu Jitsu gyms/academies in the area and Team Santos was definitely the best fit. They have supported him through his BJJ journey, multiple competitions, and the training has also helped him excel at a number of other sports.
Walked in a small gym when I was 19 years old, tried my first day at jiu jitsu with team Santos almost 5 years later I'm still lucky to be training with them. Now moved into a beautiful extra large gym all to ourselves for 2 years now. Clean facility, good people, good jiu jitsu, and we always have a clean bathroom . We consistently stay on top of keeping the place clean we don't skimp on mopping or disinfecting it will always be taken care of. Come start you're samurai journey !!!
I’m a fighter, have been since my high school days fighting in backyards to make some lunch money. For a long time I didn’t think I’d be on a fight team for various reasons, I trained alone at a karate dojo. When I asked Mike Bueno if it was ok to train with him and Team Santos in preparation for an upcoming fight, Mike and the fighters at Team Santos welcomed me with open arms. I’ll never forget that day September 18 2018. Since becoming apart of the team and being a student of Jon Santos, my life has truly changed. The amount of love, support, and passion at this Dojo is incredible. I love my team and I love what Jon Santos has created. Jon has a saying, “ just train “ and it’s powerful, Jujitsu is revealing. It pulls layers off of the participant; you really learn a lot about yourself rolling on the mats. Jon makes better men and women, consistently motivating and encouraging us to be the best we can be.
