He and his coaching staff bring an exceptional level of expertise and genuine care, treating every student like family. This is authentic BJJ taught by true professionals. Our kids had tried another gym before discovering Castroviejo BJJ, and the difference was immediately clear — we only wished we’d found this place sooner. I have been training at the academy since Aug 2021. Professor Leandro has created an amazing community and everyone is there for each other. Professor Leandro demonstrates and gives you all his knowledge from all his experiences competing in tournaments and life. Professor Leandro brings an amazing experience from Judo in the Olympics to life situations. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. One Big Family. If you are looking to be apart of a community and learn Jiu-Jitsu and self Defense then you found the right place.
I can’t recommend this Jiu Jitsu academy enough. The training is fantastic, with a good balance of detailed instruction, patience, and authenticity. Both Leandro, the gym owner, and Leo, the other lead instructor, bring their expertise directly from Brazil. They are both very friendly and supportive. This is not an intimidating place to learn BJJ - if you want to learn with a friendly group of people then this is the place to try. Everyone here is incredibly welcoming.
A great place to train. The academy is clean, the instructors are patient and knowledgeable, and the members are all welcoming and friendly. My son, who is autistic, enjoys training here and it has helped him to work on his social skills, increase his self confidence, and develop perseverance. Best gym ever! 1. Professor Leandro and coaches are incredibly skilled, practical, and friendly. We even have a visiting professor who’s an Olympic bronze medalist—how awesome is that? 2. The gym is spacious, with enough room for 10-15 sparrings happening at once. 3. Most importantly, the teammates are super supportive. I've trained at a few gyms before, but I’ve never experienced such a welcoming and friendly team. Feeling lucky to train with these lions and lionesses! Highly recommend!
Started my training in June of 2023. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Professor Leandro and Professor Leo are both outstanding teachers. The coaches are also extremely patient and helpful. Everyone is super welcoming, great community. Can't recommend this place enough!
